Injen CAI + AEM dryflow?

Reviving the thread because i'm still back on the intake debate.

Considered the CP-E nano with a dryflow, then I read a great article about how a SRI is not the best way to go, regardles of force induction or not, it's just more convenient.

So now i'm back on the hunt for a CAI. I like how the Injen points the intake back up away from the bottom, but still not sure I like those lean symptoms.

Also, I am curious why the proper sized intake piping doesn't require straighteners to avoid cels.

Also keep in mind that Amsoil has a dry filter for the Injen intakes, but they do cost more than $45... Avoid the ones you see on Amazon, they sent me the regular red Injen filter and not the blue Amsoil. I ended up going directly to Amsoil for mine to avoid this hassle again.

I haven't put it on yet, so I can't report anything more than that right now.

I bought an AEM Dry Flow for my injen at Advance auto parts way back when i bought the intake. It was about $45 as some have said. It's slightly shorter than the injen filter, but the filter diameter and the neck diameter are the same as the injen filter. I had no fitment problems and recently just cleaned the filter with the AEM cleaning solution from summit. It smelled like watered down Orange-Glo.

And just to add to the thread, i havent had a single issue with my Injen, it's never rattled or bumped anything in the engine bay, it sounds great, adds lots of power, and has never caused a CEL.

/thread necro

wait... you bought a dry filter and you used a cleaning solution? i thought the whole point of dry filters was the ease of cleaning (use compressed air on the inside / vacum the outside)?

You still need a cleaning solution but with the dry flow you don't have to oil the filter before you use it. Once it dries your good to go.
