Infotainment upgrade possible?

Can the Infotainment system on our 2016.5 Touring be upgraded to "max function" with a new chip? It would be nice to have the full voice comm. available ...

Yeah, not sure we know what you mean. Can you explain?

I'll try ... not sure what I "don't know," but several times when we've given the system a voice command it tells us we don't have those commands in our system.

We have been under the impression that our Infotainment chip (system?) is not the most complete offering from Mazda ... doesn't include all voice command capabilities.

Is there a difference between what we have in our 2016.5 Touring model and what is offered in their Grand Touring? Maybe we're just wrong in our observations.

But if not and there's broader voice command capabilities, we're asking if Mazda offers an "optional" upgrade?

Hope this helps ... sounds like I need it. Thanks.

Gotcha. No, you have all the functions in your touring. Mazda voice commands are absolute trash. To be fair, many cars I've been in the voice command system is absolute trash. Just hope we get AA and then we'll be set. Google/Android voice recognition is top notch tech.

Have you tried doing the voice learning on your 2017. (If it's available). I did it on our 2016.5 and it helped a bit.. yes I too understand your frustration with the voice control. Mine will not understand the simple " Cancel Navigation " and will say "I'm sorry that command is not available ". When it is... yet on other days it will work..

I too am looking forward to the new rumored update (AA & ACP) plus general updates coming soon.

Thanks all. I'll pass along to my "co-pilot" she'll need a bit more patience while we wait for the next upgrade.
