Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used 2017 Mazda CX-9, and the infotainment system is currently running version 59.00.4494A N.
Today, while driving with my Samsung S24 Ultra connected via Android Auto, the screen froze on Google Maps after about 20 minutes. It became completely unresponsive — both touch and physical buttons didn’t work. I unplugged my phone, but the screen remained frozen. I continued driving for another 3 hours. After turning the car off for about 10 minutes, the system finally started working normally again.
I suspect the previous owner may have installed Android Auto using Mazda AIO, since I believe Mazda only officially supported Android Auto starting from version 70.*
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know of a solution? Also, I’ve noticed the system occasionally freezes even when I’m not using Android Auto.
Any insights would be appreciated!
