So today I took about a 150 mile trip. on the way down there had no problems. but on the way back. my oil light came on, no big deal, rotary engines use oil...so i stopped at a gas station and added some. got in and checked it, the light was off. then i went back out. checked the dipstick and the oil level is about to the top notch. when i got back in my car...my check engine light was on. i read some threads about the gas cap not being on right, so i checked that...checked the oil cap and everything. Whats going on? Any help is appreciated.

Head over to a local Autozone or Advance Auto and have them run the codes. They should do it for free. Then check them here.

Could be a lot of things causing this. Gas cap was a good idea and might have been the problem (unlikely to throw a code this way in the middle of a 150mi trip though) and you may have to clear the code anyhow.

alright...so I went out to the garage, unhooked my battery for a few minutes and when i reconnected it, the check engine light went off. But, i guess everytime you disconnect your battery, your "DSC Off" light and the lil traction control car light comes on. So you have to turn ur key to the on position and turn your steering wheel clockwise the whole way, and then counter-clockwise the whole way and those will go off....freaking dash lights....
