I know allot of you guys have these but I would like to have some input on them before I go out and buy one. I have narrowed it down to two models; Alpine or Clarion. I am currently leaning toward the Alpine just because it seemed to run a little smoother but my problem is I had one of the 1st 3-disk head units Alpine put out back in the 80's and it was a big piece of sh!t and really never wanted to own another thing they made til this. Pioneers DVD player is out of my price range.
Any input would be appraciated.

The Pioneer 6500DVD is only $1599...Not sure what Alpine and Clarion you are looking at?! Pioneer is awsome...but if it is between the 2, then go Alpine.

i do have a Kenowood M700 indash TV for sale. you still would need a playstation mounted under your seat to play DVD's but it's worth it. If you are interested PM me and we will talk.

Pioneer has built in DVD...can't beat that. If you dont have build in DVD you have to find room for power inverter, PS2, or whatever you decide to use...

I would go with Alpine also. I have run Alpine CD decks in all my comp vehicles, including my 02 USACi World champion.
I agree about the 3 disc indash. I have never seen one that was any good.

I have the Sony motorized 7" and the seperate Sony DVD. haven't installed...still in shipping. For the double DIN install, will I need any modificaton to the center peice or will the two sit in there fine? Help HElp HELP! :) Thanks!

forgoe the cva. i work at ccity and i am pretty knowledged about alpine. i sold a cva-1006 a couple of days ago. the iva-d900 is king. it's got one of the best screens available today. other compaines sub out their screens, but the screen on the ivad is made IN HOUSE by alpine. the color and contrast is VERY sharp.

i would go alpine. never liked clarion products that much. but have a look at the new line of Pioneer indash units.

i have the avx-7300dvd and the deh-p840mp. the unit above is built in dvd and 7" motorized lcd.

That's the setup I have right now, but I'm going to make the switch to the Pioneer 7300 or 7500.

you'll need the metal bracket that comes standard on the MP3. it divides the 2 sections in half.

Where can I get this? Is this the popular and best way to install two decks into the P5??

mazda dealer can get it for you, i already had one because i had the tape deck combo.. i got a ps2 powering my 10 inch flip down . Audiovox Lcd Screens are one of the best, i paid 200 for it cause a friend got it and sold it to me.. obviously he didnt know the value of it 800is the going rate for it,... i am about to lower my deck to the bottom of my centerconsol and mold it in where the cup holders would usually be and put a screen in the double din.

hey, maybe im just a bit confused? why do you have 2 decks in the car? one a indash tv flip out screen and then a regular hu.. radio cd player... liek that pioneer.... i dont get it..... please explain.... wouldnt and couldnt you just get a indash tv, like a pioneer that has built in cd palyer and all taht stuff? thanks

u can , other people like there decks and just want a flip out tv.. other decks just combine all of that

has any one purchased one of those lists off of ebay that say you can get a bunch of awesome things for dirt cheap? i'm almost positive it's all crap but if someone has actually gotten results and would like to share it would be greatly appreciated (thumb)
