Man I'm retarted. I was installing my indigo gauges, like an idiot as I was putting them on with too much force and broke the fuel needle off. I was thinking no big deal, take it to the mazda dealer to put it back on. I was wrong, they said they would have to replace the whole instrument panel at cost of $700. So, for those of you are going to install indigo's please becareful. $700 is a lot of money.

Sux man. Shoulda did a search on this in the appearance and whatever section. There's a How-To and you needed to cut the gauges with an exacto knife for them to slide over. If you can find another cluster with a good fuel temp section you can remove it and install it in your cluster. There's a thread with someone who fixed theirs. If you buy the cluster yourself its about 500 and its pretty easy to swap them out.

retarted ---->> buy dictionary --->> look up "retarDed" --->> follow up by new instrument panel purchase at local Mazda dealer.

yeah, hi-perf got his needle broken too

i believe he went to the junkyard and got one pretty cheap from a car there....

Yes get that piece at a junkyard and tell the stealership to **** themselves. Bunch of ******* cocksucking assholes.

I only got that pissed cuz I hate how every dealership has to charge for a full product when someone may just need to replace one piece.

Why, he broke the needle, not Mazda.

if the individual piece isnt available from mazda itself the dealers have to order the entire assemblies, so they charge you for the whole thing.

i wouldnt call it the dealers fault.
