So last night i was driving home on the freeway.. and i went to run it kinda hard ya know like jump from 65 to 90 lol any way while in 4th gear once i hit
4000 rpm i heard this not so much as loud but really high pitched whistle coming from the engine i think .. any way i cant figure out what it could be

prob actuator. to find out pinch the vacuum line from the actuator and see if the noise goes away after you close off the vacuum source.

the only problem with that is i only hear it at at high rpms....

was it a kind of whistle that comes in louder the faster you go? if so i tend to notice it at around 80 mph and above...not so much a specific rpm, but more so a speed. I'm not quite sure wut it is but I'm pretty sure it's mainly from the AC vents that I hear it....it could be a duct that the air flows through. Sorry I can't really help with the diagnostic but if your hearing the same thing then maybe my description could help. At least you know its somewhat normal? =)

Hmmm. My wastegate does that. However, it does it at lower speeds too.

its not loud .. its like what you think a dog whistle would sound like ... i didnt notice is tonight and i was running the car pretty hard.. lol freaking turbo golfs..

I have had a whistle form my Spicy and my Pro5 at abou those speeds, it was from the ac vents or something not sure but wasn't everytime, really annoying though. Sounds like the same thing. I had thought at one time that it was coming from the windshield, still not sure that it didn't.
