I joined this forum so I could get more information about my car.
so I don't appreciate when people flame me for asking a question.
no, I know near nothing about my car besides the fact that it drives better with tiptronic and the audio is amazing, excuse me for being ignorant.
I'm not trying to throw a pity party, I don't want one.
But just because I haven't been into cars as long as some of you guys doesn't mean I'm stupid.

Are there any basics I should know about my car besides what is in my owner's manual? Because I already read that cover to cover.
when I got my car, I was VERY excited about upgrading it, but I still have no idea where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

honestly the best way is to read around. search the forum. thinking about intake? type in mazda 6 intake. billions upon billions of threads will come up. same for exhaust. and for springs. and if these wheels or tires will fit.

i dont think anyone thinks your stupid. you probably posted a new thread about any of those things ^ i just wrote about. some people are sick of seeing threads on this subject when all it takes is a simple search

Intake and exhaust are always a good start. Depends if its you daily driver and how much you want to spend.

What's covered in the manual is just basics.

If you want to learn more about your car..do what i do and just work on it. Instead of going to the dealer..I do my own oil changes...etc. Recently did the tranny fluid & lsd fluid. I have learned so much by just working on my car. Taking off rims..etc

My first mod was the CAI..fairly simple to do..requires no special tools.

the thing about the exhaust is I want a clean sound, not the BRAP BRAP sound on the mufflers
I heard a really nice sounding one on a celica the other day
any suggestions for the exhaust?
