wow. thats awesome dude, that is my dream right there, to visit Japan some day. for me is the best country in the world technologically to visit, always love the Asian culture, love the food, their culture everything is interesting, you should go to the Mazda Manufacture and take a tour, that got to be amazing. one day ill go there and try to buy stuff in there... they have the best things in there... for sure youll have lots of fun. you should PM ANTONIE the owner of these forum he lives in Japan, probably he can give you a hand in where to go, what to do, and what and where to buy stuff. good luck , and also prepare yourself for an insane 24 hour Flight...
i would like to learn some phrases, im sure that will help. lol... ill ask my brother, he lives there and is fluent in japanese......
it would be great to see the mazda assembly center, if they offer tours ill take one for sure!!!!! and of course bring back pictures

u'll have a wicked time up there. ya should visit the mazda museum or even the toyota one. also take some time too look around in autobachs. wish i had time to look in there. i heard it's a tuner's dream hehe.g2 nara and play wit the deer heh. uhh go up mt.fuji and play wit some snow? take the bullet train. visit akihabara. etc. it all depends on where ur staying

dont mind at all...... the ticket, (which my brother paid for
) is around $900. he lives there, and has his own place, so i dont have to pay for a hotel.!!!! so basically all i have to take is spending money.... im going for 10 days, so i think $1500 will cover it
My dad was stationed there...well a long time ago. I was only about 5 then and I'm 45 now,but the main thing I remember was slot car tracks in places the size of a freaking gymnasium (sp). Flippin' huge with all kinds of scenery. Towns,trees,valleys.....but like I said that was a long,long time ago.
The place is still cool. Enjoy the culture.(2thumbs)

You should expect to meet a lot of nice people and have an awesome time!
There are cool places to visit all over Japan...Even if you just stick around one area like Tokyo or Kansai (Osaka, Kobe & Kyoto) or checkout Hiroshima (Mazda HQ which I have yet to visit BUT REALLY WANT TO!!!) or Okinawa or Hokkaido...Every area in Japan has something to offer...
Are you coming through Tokyo or Osaka? Where will you be staying?

Cool...10 days will go by like nothing in Tokyo...Endless things to do there!
If you drop by Osaka or Kobe...Let me know and maybe we can meet up for a drink...speaking of drinks...if you eat out a lot and checkout some bars etc...That can be quite expensive but $1500 should be more than enough since you don't have to pay for a hotel. (thumb)
As for places to Visit...Tokyo has a famous tower, castle, Emperor HQ, cool Shrines & Temples, Akihabara, countless restaurants, bars, clubs and shops plus all sorts of cool/funky little nooks here and there...I'm sure you'll have a blast!

So you wouldnt mind me tagging along with you guys would you?? lol. Id love to go to japan. That would be a dream come true.. I mean honestly. Good luck on the trip. Take lots of pictures and bring back some super cool stuff. I was watching a documentary on like drifting or something a while back. And they have exotic cars here in the US, just chillin in junk yards by the numbers there. Skylines, RX7's, S15's and all other types of cars. It was pretty crazy thats all I know. Just watch out for that Yakuza, I hear nothing but bad things from them lol.
Sorry to jack thread a little bit, but i'm also hoping to hit up J-pan during the summer. Being a korean person,I know there's quite a bit of tension there between koreans and the japanese, but will they treat me like some 2nd class citizen person? Or will they actually be nice to me cause i'm a US citizen. Also, is it true they fingerprint visiting foreigners? I dunno, either way, i hope i get to experience the place at least once. You're lucky that you get to go in 2 weeks T_T.

we are going to Narita!!!!
i cant wait, im sure we will be pretty occupied for the ten days, but im not going to Japan to sit on the couch and watch tv, i wanna see their life styles and night life... here in chicago there is a great amount of places, and bars for people my age to go to (im 22). i really wanna compare and see wat it is like overthere,,, my buddy is a real party animal, so im sure well be out alot.
and its good to hear that the money im taking with should be enough.... cause i usually dont spend that kind of money in 10 days, im just a poor automotive detailer for Carmax.
and yes guys, i will post lots of cool pictures when i get back!!!!!!!!
