But I'm no dummy! Wasssup ya'll? I'm here to learn about my new MSP as well as help anyone I can. I have a decent amount of exerience on supercharged engines via my Contour w/ vortech kit but Turbos are somewhat new to me. I am VERY impressed with my MSP being that it lays a smack doen on any car I have ever driven handling wise and in the pulls its no slouch either. That said I look forward to browsing here as well as hopefuly adding anything I can.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. I did my first mod to the MSP tonight. My body ordered a CAI for his GSR but didn't fit so we sawed it off and made a short ram for the MSP! The butt dyno was slightly impressed but she sounds alot better now. I can hear it spool nice and loud and the BOV sounds louder too. I think this turkey sounding BOV is pretty funny, but I think I'm going to upgrade in the future to somthing more "wooshy".

the "bov" doesnt make any noise. its a bypass recirculating valve that is pretty silent. the turkey noise is compressor surge.

oh, ok. So would any BOV that vents back to the intake be silent? I don't really want to vent to the atmosphere due to spool times of the turbo and what not but I want the woosh sound. Is it possible to have the woosh and not vent into the atmosphere?

There was a post a couple days ago of someone using the B.P.V and a B.O.V together and it got rid of the turkey noise. The only downside is that you will need to get hardpipes to replace the stock ones and there not cheap. Good Luck and welcome.

hey...everyone...i just purchased a MazdaSpeed 2003.5 and i'm look for an engine that can be swaped out instead of this weak 2.0L 16V 4 banger...i'm lookin for a 24V 6 banger...or a 4 banger with more of a punch and easier to mod...if you could help me find one that would be great k thanks..!!! i would like to know where i can get it and what type of engine this is...====

I know an engine that would be perfect for you. It's a 2.4L 4-cyl turbo that makes gobs of power & is really easy to mod. The best part is it's available at your local Dodge dealer.

xXxJIGGAxXx: Welcome to the site & CONGRATS on the new car! What color is your CSVT & what kind of #s did it make? Before I got my MSP, I always said the CSVT would be the car I would get if I wasn't able to do any mods. Must be fun to have both...except when you pay for insurance & gas.

NOw thats funny, my very first post here was basicly saying the exact same thing you just did.
I modified an intake for a 97 integra LS to fit my MP3.

No V6 swap exists. It all has to be custom.

Spend the money on a standalone engine mamagement system and forged internals.
