I have seemed to acquire a new squeak towards the rear since I put my subs back in, and I have no clue exactly where its coming from (argh)

Thanks for the pic, I'll see if I can dampen it this weekend. Or get a sub/hack off my exhaust to drown out the rattles!

squeak in behind the instrument panel.
squeak from the steering column.
squeak somewhere in the back
whistle from a poorly sealed replacement windshield (sounds like a damn bird is living in my visor.
squeaky springs.
clunking suspension.
squeak in the driver's door.

dear God, this car's gonna crumble to bits with me on the road one of these days.

mine was rattling in the back, turns out it was the license plate was rattling because i had the top 2 screws in.....so i put some foam on the bottom (jammed it in between the license plate and the car) no noise :))

-Instrument cluster
-Center armrest pocket (when leaned on)
-Passenger door (top right of inside panel)
-Rear license plate (when bass is pumpin')
I wish there was some way to pinpoint a rattle while driving without crashing my car (actually, hmmm, that would make me forget about any little rattles?!?)
After reading this thread I don't feel so bad, but I still wish I didn't rattle when I roll!

so i was rolling today and this rattle i had was getting more anoying. i cant remember when it started but it sounded like stg hitting metal rattling contniously whan i was cruising on the highway. So i was on the highway and tried to figure out what it was(good idea lol). I swear the sound was coming from the left driver side. thought it was behind the vent...then i touched the panel near my right foot and suddenly, it stopped! Same thing with the panel near the left foot of the passenger. Those panels were rattling like crazy. Everytime, i could not figure out were the sound was coming from because of teh sound that probably bounce off a lot.

i just want to let people know that these panels(near right foot of the driver and near left foot of the passenger) might be causing some rattles. They are easy to remove.

Now i need to move on and find the others.(gun)

i have a metal on metal rattle sounds like its coming from the middle or rear of the car. happens when engaging and disengaging the brakes including pumping the brakes while in drive, as well as starting to accelerate i notice it but goes away after i get rolling a lil bit. anyone got any ideas?

I have already taken care of the most common rattles in my P5............except for 1. When taking off from a stop and when braking it sounds like something is rolling a short distance. I have narrowed it down to the front PS door/dash area but cannot finid anything loose. I completely stripped the inside of the PS door but it was still there. Rattles drive me nuts(ask my wife) but this one is so hard to find I may just forget about it.

I have nasty rattle that occurs a few days a week coming from the cargo area. It drives me crazy since it's random and I can't just ask someone to sit back there and troubleshoot it. It never seems to occur when I need it to!!!

listened closer and mine seems to be more of a creak than a rattle. maybe rear suspension or bushings? idk :/

Love those rattles. I believe my problem are the rear end links because I can rattle them just with my hand. Have some on order but this Canada Post strike has delayed their arrival! Just hope it fixes it!

Update--The "rolling bolt" noise has stopped. I have no idea what it was or where it went but it's gone.

passenger side dashboard rattle...UGH!

Did you ever figure this out? Mine rattles like crazy aroudn 52mph in 5th gear... drives me nuts! I have the gove box out and everything. I'm thinking of yanking otu the passenger side air bag out to try and find this annoying bastard. Now I did have a rattle on the crowl or whatever its calls by the wipers and was a easy fix.

Both my rear wheel well mudguards have separated from the chassis(because the metal that used to be there has rusted out), and causes a nice two or three second rattle every time I hit anything bigger than a crack in the asphalt. I'm getting some metal banding and steel brackets from Canadian tire and am gonna try to ghetto rig a support.

Has anyone noticed somewhat of a tinny rattle when you shut your driver's side door? Every other door has a solid clunk to it, maybe simply due to extra use or something. I'm going in there with some foam tape when I swap out the speakers:)

Yeah I have the annoying muffler rattle with my car....

Someone posted earlier about a rattle on the passenger side fender. Their is a plastic peice between the door and the fender that rattles. It was one of my rattles so its no longer as annoying beings that I removed it but I still have a rattle that im trying to trace down.

Ugh dont get me started on rattles, especially in cold weather. turning up the stereo doesnt help, the bass just rattles more things lol

Well have you fixed any of them? If so where were they at and what did you do to fix them?

not yet, cant really figure out where they are coming from, just that the noise is behind me, and usually only in colder weather or when my stereo is cranked. but usually its too cold to wanna look for them, or i cant because im driving

my the interior cover on my hatch rattles so i stuff a piece of paper in it, insta-fix i thought one of the plastic mounts broke
