Personally speaking the brake dust on the front OEM Pads is driving me nuts!(drunk)

Anyways, anyone with first hand experience of Aftermarket Pads (ex: "Greenstuff")

Please share your experiences with any aftermarket Front Pads...

Thanks in advance. :)

I have Rotora Slotted rotors with Rotora H2 Ceramic pads. VERY low dusting pads. I got more dust driving a day with stock pads than I do driving a few weeks with the h2 ceramic pads. However, I personally feel they don't brake as well as stock.

Properties of ceramic pads... they like to operate at higher temps, so until they heat up... Reverse situation with metallic pads...

Well I had already got my Rotora H2 pads so hot they glazed and that was just driving some twisties. Also this was with the slotted rotors that are supposed to help prevent glazing. Overall, I just feel the stock pads were better, other than the crazy amount of dust they produce.

yea they do produce a lot of dust, the pads I'm gonna get...EBC Redstuff...I'm also looking to get drilled and slotted rotors, any suggestions on brand?

I also have noticed the "dust" can actually burn the clearcoat on the stock rims leaving small black specs...I will be talking to the dealer about this.

Really?! I have always gotten the black dots off my scrubbing real hard, always eventually came off.

speaking of brakes, how much are pads for our car? what about rotors? And at what mileage are people having to replace them under normal driving?

pads like 75-100; rotors like 200-250 a set; i'm at 25k and haven't had either changed I think (I just take it to the dealer every 3k and I'm pretty sure they haven't done any brake work yet)

I had that happen to my stang, it ruin my driver side front rim. I damaged the clear to the point, that i had to get it redone.

Use Zaino on them, and I assure you this will never be an issue again. I can clean my wheels with a fingertip. Or soapy water.

what i did with the brake dust is bought black wheels. works like a charm! and about the aftermarket rotors and what not i am going to wait for the brembo kit to come out. comes with calipers, rotors and i think pads too. IMO that is the best bet.

that kit is already out, it's on some sites but it's like 1500 bucks for the gt kit...but hey they are def the best kit, i'd say...i'd only get them if i was gonna turn my car into a track car

Killer I did the "GreenStuff" pads on my last Mazda and the diff in brake dust was night/day... Good pad as far as stopping power as well...Combined with the PowerSlot rotors and a good brake flush I was very pleased with the results....

I went with R1 Concepts Dimpled/Slotted Premium powder coated rotors.
