So a few years ago I had these repaired due to some scratches. It appears it didn’t take well. What other solutions are out there? Repaint them? Sand them and make them black? Or leave them as is?

The cheap option is to plastisip them. I did it on other wheels and it held out really well, was easy to do and is reversible if you don’t like it. The only thing is the color get matte and dirty really fast. Next time i will something like superwrap which doesn’t have that rubbery look to it.

see this video for an example. I wouldn’t chose that color, but the sky is the limit color wise, you can match your original wheels, go darker, lighter, etc.

I'd agree that PlastiDip or Superwrap/Autoflex would be the easiest solution. There is a wheel shop near me that will also vinyl wrap wheels, but this really only works to do small accent areas on the face of the wheel.

Most durable solution would be to get the wheels powdercoated, but it's also the most expensive and labor intensive.
