i went to the stealership today....

I went to the dealership to go b**** about my sway bars clunking and sqeaking and about my trans.... the first time they said they wouldnt replace the bushings.... well i talked to the head mazda tech and he drove my car and he agreed with me that the car sounded like s*** when going over bumps... and he did say "sounded like s***" lol.... and he checked the syncros.... well my 1st - 2nd gear syncro is basically gone and my 3rd - 4th syncro is worse than 1-2.. so he wrote up the paperwork for his direct boss to come out and meet with me and possibly approve a trans replacement....... FINALLY... well i was talking to the tech and he was a very cool and nice guy and he knew his s***.... he also said that while hes at it and taking my trans out , he said why dont you get a performance flywheel and clutch and hell sneak them in there for me .... i asked about him puting in my cams but he said he couldnt do them b.c of warranty issues.. he said that i could do them easily myself... so im going to order my cams next week and then i will INSTALL them with my friends mike and issac...

you guys with the same problems with the trans can check if its user error or the actuall syncros that are messed up...

shift without your clutch and rev match and if it dosent slide into gear then you have a bad syncro... i would reccomend going to your dealership and having one of the techs drive your car with you and check it out.....

im takin my car in monday to get the snycros fixed for the second time. and to get my new bushings. i hope they dont have my car to long.

im going to my dealer for the usual(tires rotated, oil change), and im gonna get them to do my bushings...mine is LOUD over bumps. i haven't had any tranny problems yet, but ill have them check that too.

Hey guys...I ain't too good with cars...but what do u mean by syncros?? I know that from 1st to 2nd...the car feels awkward...now in smart car guy terms..how can I explain that to my dealership???

You getting the exact same bushings as before? Or do they have replacement for the originals.

I had brought my car in to have the clunking noise examined too....they want me to bring it in again on Monday to fix the problem...I didn't think to ask what they planned to do, but I did mention that some people reported the problem being fixed(for awhile anyhow) after they had their bushings replaced.

I just called Mazda Canada and they have no knowledge of this revision. Would you by any chance still have the work order with the part #'s that they replaced them with.

they havent fixed it yet... they just ordered the parts and sent in the request for a trans repair approval... hopefully they will get my car in before june 1st...
