Have any of you tried using some sort of polish instead of a clear coat? My brother painted his P5 tail lamps a while back and we never got around to installing them. They looked flat and too dark. We wet sanded them down to where there was very little nightshade left and then buffed them with rubbing compound. They came out looking so shiny like was meant to have it on. Looks good too. I still have my old nightshaded tailights from 2002 Protege so I am going to polish those out as well. Installed them on my MSP for now.
