I think I broke a rod...

J&S retards timing (either from knock or predefined boost settings), it does not control fuel. It does not change the fact that the stock ECU is still trying to keep the AF ratio where it wants it to be in closed loop mode. This is what the voltage clamp fights. That is why I would think the combo would be a good setup. But hey, I'm no expert. My knowledge is just from reading here, so I might be wrong ;).

I would order a voltage clamp from Flyin Protege to lessen the fuel issue in closed loop mode, and the J&S ultra unit to retard timing before ping occurs! Sounds like an excellent combo to me...

Spoolin is aleady including that sensor in the kit:
Our kits also incorporate a Fuel Management Unit pre set to proper fuel pressure levels.
A 02 signal modifier is included to prevent ECU fuel pull at partial throttle.
No timing modifications are necessary on stage 1,2 and 3 kits. Our kits include all fittings, hoses and clamps for a clean and professional looking installation.

Good thing Linux.

I was worried seing you rebuild your engine with forge rod and stock piston. If because some detonation you get a cracked piston, the forge rod can't do anything about that! ;)

Did you also look for some heavy duty valves & spring?

I don't know if there's some available for our cars?

Not sure about the valves and springs. It just sux that I will be without my car for another month at least. How will I stay sane. (silly)

Valves and springs will only do you any good if you want to rev the engine past the current redline. On stock cams and with the rod ratio of the FS, there's not much point.

By the way, Linux ordered those rods through us. I'm not sure why he's recommending you order from Pauter...

Keith is right! I used the Pauter link as a reference as a reference for the specs on the rods. I accually ORDERED them through Flyin' Progtege. Did not want to create a misunderstanding, although I did talk to Pauter also. The guys at FP will hook you up! (thumb)

Air tools are here! I went down to my local Harbor Freight, and picked up a 2 HP/8 Gallon Air compressor, and a 250 ft/lb - 90 PSI Impact wrench/gun. I also got a 50 ft 3/8" hose, and some quick release male connectors. All this cost $179!!!(wow) I'll get that axle out yet!!

That's it?? WOW. I want one!

That air compressor will only work for small jobs. It is fine for the weekend mechanic, but you have to expect that small amount of air to be used up very fast. You won't be doing any 15 second 4 tire changes with it.:D

Well this one is nice, it is rated to 115 PSI. Just what I need. It has automatic shutoff, and when the pressure drops low enough, it will kick back on. It also has a seperate regulatory valve so that I can tell it what PSI I want my tools to see. (thumb)

what is wrong wit the axle nut? stuck?
i use to use a very large bar and had someone step on the brakes. it would thread right offf.
ahhh the good ol days with no compressor:D

well if you cant get it off , now that you have the compressor air chisel it in half and get a new nut.the grove int he middle of the axle splines will help

Got them off today. The only issue I am having now is getting the bottom part of the suspention to drop out of the nuckle. The bolt is loose, and that thing won't fall! On a good note, I removed the accessories from the engine like the AC and the Power Steering Pump.(thumb)

here is whats left

we feel your pain
