The rods on this engine are only good for about 230 whp, we had one let go about 2 yrs ago....if you needs rods,pm me!

Well, I got my car home after $145 for towing:mad: , and looked under the car. I saw a nice crack in the block starting where the oil filter is screwed in, and then I accidentally saw an accual 1 inch hole in the front of the block, just missing my new knock sensor. It's official, that block is gone! Now I know where all my oil went.

If you have it your car dies. NOt saying all J&S or that it was the cuase of the problem but I think a voodoo medicane women cursed it before Ben got it and now its taken you too. Destroy that thing quick.

I wonder why the rod broke. He said he wasn't on it very hard. Patrick, what gear were you in and what speed were you at? If you were in a high gear and at a low speed, that can cause lots of stress in the motor.

About 40 MPH in 2nd gear....close to WOT.:wtf:

So you were pretty close to red line. That really shouldn't have been a problem. Maybe you just had some weak rods to begin with. Who knows.

thats ******* blows man. i almost had a scare with my old 92 ledgen. i was driving along and all of a sudden i here some weird noises coming from the engine. i stop and get out of my car and oil is just pouring out the bottom of my car adn i could see a little stream of oil that behind my car coming into the parking alot.

i got lucky and what happened was the hose coming from the block to the oil cooler broke. cost was about $10 +4qts of oil.

man i hope you the best of luck. and now with you car in pieces should should look into getting head work done. your gonna take it off any way might as well it polished. just a thought

Go for the pauter rods they have them in stock which means fast turnaround time

Short Block is damaged so...

its the connection rods on the pistons to the crankshaft
