Generally speaking, lowering a car to improve handling is overrated. You mess up the suspension geometry and reduce suspension travel. You are better off with the stock springs, a proper set of swaybars and upgraded dampers.
I chose Cobbs because I wanted to increase the spring stiffness with minimal drop. When (if) I ever scrape together the money for dampers, I am going back to the original springs. The ride is too harsh and even the slight drop from the Cobbs causes the front end to scrape too easily. I liked them at first, but having lived with them for a year and a half, I can honestly say that I should have saved the money.
