I'm so happy to find a message board like this. I'm so glad that I finally found one that has alot of members so we can chat and discuss our common interests with this mazda dream machine. I'm a new member obviously and just to say you all kick ass!!! but Sir Nuke and adragonfly kick ass big time. Hopefully in a couple of days i'll have my mp5, and will be just as pleased as all you guys.....however I'm keeping the roof rack cause it looks tight!!!! sorry he he. Just wanted to touch base with HQ before I went off on my own. Thanks all for the posts that I have read prior to getting a car you all have really helped me out. :D

aww, we're touched man...this place has been my homepage for nearly a year, and i feel like you do, this place rocks!

I must say I agree. I got my car 2 months ago and this site has been an invaluable source of info for me, not to mention a big factor in my decision to purchase this car. Thanx everyone!

This is an update on how the new car buying is going:

I'm sorry to say this but my new car may be in jeopardy due to ignorance on the sales people behalf, I don't want to jink myself so that's all I'll say about it, but hopefully it will work itself out and all will be well, I'll keep you posted, I'll know pretty much by tomorrow if i'll be getting my car.

OK here's an update:

At first the salespeople told me that I could get a loaded mp5 at 0% APR financing for 5 years and no monthly payments until 2003. I questioned them about this since the ad on the t.v says 0% for 4 years and no payments until 2003, and they assured me that I could get it for 5 years. However as I suspected they waited until the very last minute to go back on their word. I told them to put the APR in writing and they decided to change their minds...so anyways, that was 5 days ago. My old salesman, with whom I bought my Frontier from, and who I think is the greatest told me that he'd see what he could do about it, and at first he said that I should try getting an mp5 that had nothing on it so that they would be able to lower the payment..so he worked on it for a couple of days and finally got it to work today. I get a 5 year loan at 3.9% and no payments until 2003. Well it's not 0% but it's a pretty good rate.

So anyways it's red, auto, moonroof, abs, side air, polished wheels, and there are some other things but I can't remember. The only thing I didn't get was the disc changer because I'm transplanting the one from my 2002 Frontier to this car. I'm just so glad that you are here so I can tell you, and by monday I'll be able to join the ranks of all the happy mp5 owners.

I'd like to give thanks to Sir Nuke who gave me advice through this trying time of dealing with the lovely sales people

YOU are more than welcome dude.....it was my pleasure...and I am just glad it all worked out for you....

BTW....did you ever peek in and say hello to Lori for me? (stash)

Oh I forgot to mention, but I got them to lower the car below the invoice price, I got it for 17,900...msrp was 19,600, and then they wanted 21,095 for all the crap they put on it at the dealer. Probably because they made alot of money off my trade in.

I asked about Lori Yates, but she was never there when I was there, but I know she still works there. I told some of the sales people and they kind of looked at me wierd.
