I have a problem guys...plz help

my car is leaking inside, driver's and passenger's side....
smells like coolant.
every time I touch the area next to the shifter (carpet)my hands become wet from this crap...
plz help...I really want to figure out what it is.

it feels like oil on touch, it's red.....and it smells strong.
smells like when the car overheats.

Do you have a RX-8?

It would help to know the car btu typicaly red is Tranny fluid.

Was the tranny fluid changed recently? It sounds like it may have been overfilled.

I have never had the problem with my mazda but many times with my camaros the heater core in the dash has leaked leaving me with a wet passenger floor. To be honest I don't know if the heater core is in the dash but that's my best guess.

If it's red it is the tranny fluid , did you have it serviced latley?

you are leaking tranny fluid, you probably need to have the seal replaced

you may want to start looking around the RX7 forum asking questions and looking up stuff there. you'll find alot more usefull info and knowledgable guys with the same or similar problems.

you may also want to think about selling the car since you obviously don't know too much about it or whats going on with it
