I got the G35 instead of the ms3!!!

I can't look at an Infinity without thinking 'overpriced nissan'.

Same thing with Lexus and Hacura actually :(

so if you choose to buy at the end of your lease you pay $41,680 + any financing charges from the $18,000 end of lease purchase price. if the sticker price was $34k (guess), financed at 7% for 5 years you pay $40,394 for the car. after your 5 years of payments you're done when you buy whereas after 42 months on a lease you still owe $18k on the car or, if you want to pay it off in the same time period as a 60 month loan, $1,000/month + interest.

Another good thing is that you have options...you don't have to buy at the end. Say something happens to Nissan or Infiniti and the car is only worth 15,000, you can walk away. Say it's worth 23-24k then you could buy it out and resell it for a profit.

well yeah you right but mazda don't hold a value, dont get me wrong i love mazda but it is true, now my dads cx-7 value is around 16k and the debt is 25k so we allready lose 9k if we trade the beutifull baby LOL!!! Thats why im leasing !!! Oh yeah and if bought the G the monthly will be around 700 to 800 with a tier 1 credit!!! So i guess i make a good deal!!

My 3 is holding it's value just fine. It was 19,500 new and it's retailing for 16,000 now. It's a 2004 with nearly 50k.

Trade in values are always low. That's why its called wholesale. You're manipulating the numbers for the benefit of your argument. Also, always go by KBB. NADA and grits or rits (whatever the F it's called) always comes up really low. Tell your dealer you want KBB. They'll listen.

i did told them when i trade in my BLUE 2003.5 mazdaspeed protege!! I says in KBB With 90k miles 12k and is BS they gave me only 7500 for the car so thats why i say that!! But yeah you right the mazda 3 holds the value pretty good thats only because is the most selling car of mazda but who knows if the ms3 ( special edition) is going to hold the same as the normal !! What i know is that the normal protege holds more value than the msp!! Dealer told me that!!

If they only gave you $7500, why trade it in? Post it up on the forums/craigslist/autotrader/etc for $9000 and I'm sure it would be gone within a couple weeks. And an extra $1500 in your pocket.

because the car was a mess!! but that was past and for that learn not to trade a car on the stealerships

well yea I could see that then, if it had some problems that you wouldn't want to pass off to another private party, let the dealership deal with reconditioning it

Give a fancy Toyota a fancy name with a bunch of crap options I'd never use and increase it's price by 30%. Same goes for Lexus, Acura, Cadillac, and whoever else that can crank out in car form and way overpriced in SUV conclomerations. That the rich seem to need to buy/lease. Just to say "Look at me, I'm a rich douche bag that can go 80 on the interstate and you pee ons driving lesser cars better get out of my way"

(stfu)

Someone sounds jealous (hah)

If you don't see the value in those cars, don't buy them.

For whatever it's worth, I drive my $2500 Mazda 80 on the interstate. What does that make me? A poor douche bag?

I would have really shopped interest rates. 11% for a new car is terrible unless you have some prior credit woes. The G35 is nice for sure but that's an INSANE lease payment. Then again, when I was younger, the full purchase price of my car was 2 of your payments.

Here's a question:

If you are in your early 20s and get something like a G35, what do you get next? I mean, you've already got a really nice car. Most people generally get something a little nicer each time. By age 40 you'll have to buy a 7 series. :)

I started out with s*** cars. I got my first new car in 2000 and even then it was a cheap 14k Chevy pickup. I couldn't imagine rolling a G35 even now. My BMW was expensive enough. It was only 31k.

^^ i dunno why is an insane payment when my dad is paying for the cx-7 $530 financed!! I think is really a good price for me LOL!! My best friend has a 06 gti and hes paying 560 per month!! i don;t know???
Well i started with a 90 pontiac grand am, then a honda civic DX96 , then the msp and then the G35!! when im 40 i will get a BMW M5 !!!

Ouch... I'd never lease a car for that kind of money.

Actually, I'd never lease a car, but over 5 bills is crazy!
agreed, thats just insane.

Have you done the math to see how much you will actually pay for that car if you decide to buy?

Buying cars with cash FTW!

Exactly. Having tunnel vision and only considering monthly payments is a very short-sighted way to go about things.

7 Series? The way he's going by the time he's 40 he will be leasing a Bugatti Veryron for $3000 a month@ :)

I have owned both

well the ms3 is not a better car!!! neither the G35!!

Both have a lot power
both have a good handling
BUT infinity has more reliability and the engine has more potential to mods(not plannig to do them now but in two years or when the lease is over and i have the option to buy it for 19k i will make it a beast)
Infinity has more luxury and is faster for what i see!! Ive driven the ms3 and i feel the G35 faster!!!
Both are in the 10 best cars of 2007 car and driver
both have the 10 best engines of the world
So i cannot say that the ms3 and the G35 are bad when they have a lot in common except that the ms3 is a hot hacth back and the G35 is a big sport sedan!!
I was thinking the same thing but when i see and drive the G i love it!! I allready have 600 miles on it !!!

I've owned both cars, an Infiniti G35 coupe (not the sedan) and my '07 MS3 GT. Having put many miles on both, I can say the G35 coupe is faster and handles better (can't speak to the G35 sedan). It's engine is incredible and it's RWD. Despite what a previous poster said, the engine is actually much quieter than our Mazda's. The most apparent difference on the same back roads is handling (more "stick," more predictable, less fighting the wheel, holds a line better) and when accelerating from speeds of about 70 on up (the 6 cyl in the G35 really pulls).

Not that I don't like my MS3, I do. I love the bang for the buck, the performance with the practicality of a hatch. But I am also realistic; the Mazda is at least $10K less than the Infiniti, and I'm sorry but it's not just because of the infiniti nameplate.

So if I liked my G35 so much why don't I have it anymore? I traded it in on my M5...and yes, it is also faster than my MS3.
