I got new wheels!!!

I ordered Rota Tarmac's from my work... i got a set for $520!!! thats a bad ass deal but i get them for almost cost since i work at discount tire. i ordered the bronze colored wheels in 17x7's.... hopefully they will be here today. they will look pretty cool. i hope. i will post pics as soon as possible.

Hey, what offset did you get? +48 or +45. You could have gotten the +45, if you got the +48 you'll run into clearance problems in the rear of your car because of the hub depth.

BTW, we sell them for $550.00 shipped, that's the same price or less than what you got them for. IMHO.

If you can get the 18's for $550 shipped, do they have 17x7s for less and are they lighter than the RHs? (by how much?) I came into some extra cash (is there such a thing?) last night and might be able to get better wheels if the timing and price is right! also looking to get either some Kuhmo 712s or victoracers mounted on them. Lemme know!

they weigh 19 lbs... i have no clue what our stock wheels weigh... and they make them in a lot of colors... Gunmetal, white, silver, gold, bronze and black..... i am also not sure if they make them in 18's... but i really like them and i havent installed them yet.. either today or tomorrow.... im still waiting on my new digital camera to be delivered .. its been on back order for 2 months now... its starting to piss me off....

so you guys think they will look good on a yellow mp3?

Sorry I misread your post. I thought you had the 18's. I think our stock wheels (It's been posted hundreds of times somewhere on this board) are somewhere around 23-24 pounds each. 5 pounds is a decent reduction if they are as strong as the RHs.
Wheelguruu, do you sell the Falken Azenis at your shop? (forgot to ask about those) I've heard they're inexpensive but are REALLY grippy.

their wear rating is terrible though.. they will probably last you 9000 miles... you should get 15 or 16's and put the Azenis' on them and just run them at the auto-X or the track...

I need to run 17" to stay in my stock class. Treadwear isn't really an issue if I can gain a second on the track. They would be only for racing anyway.

I actually messed up on my price i got them for... my boss didnt add the employee discount and i dont have to pay anything for installation.... but i am mounting them tomorrow.... YEAY!!!!!

they are basically the same wheels that prodrive makes but cheaper... and they are almost exactly like the WRC cars.. but their not as strong and lightweight as the wrc wheels..... but hey the ordinary person wouldnt notice...

It's cool that you got those soo cheap, but please take notice that there are vendors on here who also sell the same thing. From the looks of it, it seem that you're offering your discount to other members, which in turn means that you are kind of advertising your prices to others and you aren't a registered or recognized vendor. This kind of activity is looked down upon by vendors on this board and vendors of pretty much any other board I've ever been on. What I'm trying to say without sounding like a jerk is, please try not to post your "hookup" price on the open forums for everyone to see. If you can get a hookup, please say so by asking people to PM you about it or just don't say anything at all. There are some hardworking vendors on here who don't appreciate people cutting into a possible sale. I know you probably didn't mean to annoy anyone, but I'm just doing my job as a moderator.
