Bought my MS6 2 weeks ago.
Traded in my MSP with 30K miles on it. Got the MS6 GT, moonroof for 25200 (after rebate), and got 13200 for my trade in. I think I could have squeezed them for more, but overall, I wasn't completely bent over by the stealership.
The MS6 is in most ways a much easier car to live with than the MSP. The MSP had amazing handling, but that's about it. It was OK as far as creature comforts, but it wasn't great. And for the past 6 months, it's become a big rattlebox, which is pretty much the reason why I gave it up.
Things I like about the MS6
- Power- much smoother power delivery, too...no jerk when lettting off the gas
- Braking - The MSP had great braking, but this car feels even better
- Comfy seats, comfy ride
- Moonroof! (I really missed that)
- Can actually have a conversation with a passenger @ 75MPH, rather than shouting over the exhaust and engine
- Build quality...the doors and everything have a nice solid feel
- Lots of places to stow stuff
- Stability when handling - Not as intuitive as the MSP, but still nice. I don't really know how to explain it, plus I'm not that great of a driver...but...essentially, the MSP would pretty much turn on rails...turn the wheel, MSP goes there...but the back end, while it didn't feel UNstable or anything, it seemed to just kinda follow the front. In the MS6, the back end seems to feel much more planted...I dunno
- Much roomier
Things I don't like about the MS6
- Clutch = tricky. Either it's engaged, or it's not, and it engages with a noticable WHAM
- Those fake exhaust tips - C'mon...even the cheap-o (in comparision) MSP had at least a decent REAL exhaust tip.
- Stereo
- Brake dust - INSANE
- Exhaust noise...while not LOUD...it's not exactly a pleasant sound
- Handling NOT as tight as MSP...but traded a bit of ride comfort for that
- Is it me or does the engine seem to get really hot and stay really hot for a long time? My temp. guage is ALWAYS dead center or slightly above...and stays that way for hours after turning off the car.
- Gas mileage is pretty bad. But not unlivable.
