I was gonna wait...I Was gonna get one, but I Was sick and tired of the mazda dealerships giving me BS...
I phoned one the other day, they gave me around 30K as the MSRP (before PDI and Taxes) Canadian. Their estimate was atleast 28 thousand canadian.
So I went with a 2003 Sentra Ser Spec V...great car, love it, it's just slightly faster than a MSP. Maybe I should of waited for the MSP, because it handles better.
But I gess the advantages are, I got my Spec V for an awsome deal, and the Spec V has a sunroof

...and for me the most important thing...NA power potential

and lobs of low end torque
IF you read the edmunds.com reviews the Spec V got first place in the reviews. Even though the 2002s had problems, everything has been fixed for 2003, the shifting, the ratios, the seats, paint, EVERYTHING, it's an awsome car. (BTW I don't care about the puny Audio in either cars...I'm replacing them with a MD deck and JL speakers)
The diffrence of the price of my Spec V and the MSP to me wasn't worth it, and the wait definetly wasn't.
For the price diffrence on the Spec V to the MSP I could...Buy coilovers, intake, new tires and rims, and a new deck (atleast)
This would make my spec v > than the MSP
But to all you who are getting the MSP congrats, have fun with your car
