So here I am a total newb to this forum and I already have a question. How do I block or ignore a certain member? I've searched and cannot see how to do this. By the way I love my car and am enjoying reading about all of your mods and tricks. I've already picked up a few things from this community so thanks to all you who assist and promote positivity.

Damn that was easy. I shall no longer be annoyed by a certain pessimist. Thanks! Nice user name by the way.

Here's a post by a moderator regarding another thread someone started to ban a current member--"This thread is closed and anymore like this will result in a ban for the creator."

Bought the car a week ago, already wanting to ignore a certain someone on the forums because of their attitude. I can take a guess at which forum member he is referring to and let me just say, Sorry about that. The actions of a few can ruin it for the many. We really are a pretty decent group of Mazda enthusiasts, just some times, with differing points of view. Anyhow, Welcome to the community and congrats on your new Ride. Post up some pics, we like pics!

Welcome, a great choice. I bought my 2016 CX-5 GT with tech in November and am totally loving it. And yea, I quickly discovered the ignore list option

Yeah, outside of a very few, this is a great forum. Because of the nature of the type of vehicle it is cuts down on a lot of douche bags. Not all, but a lot.
You snag your 5 from Sill-Terhar?

I belong to a bunch of forums, there is always 1 problem child who thinks he knows everything. A few forums the new members will kiss his ass just to get answers, kind of sad. Dont see that kind of ass kissin here which is nice. But the problem child(s) here is/are almost unbearable, but I like adversity so I will keep coming back.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have already got some great advice from peeps on here. Here's my sweet ride. Added the mud flaps myself which I'm stupidly stoked on.

No I got my 5 from McDonald in Littleton. I had to get the Titanium Flash fully loaded.

I was browsing for about 20 minutes the other day on mazdas247 before I could not stand a certain members attitude and responses. Since I learned about 'ignore' the site is actually very pleasant and helpful. Thank you to everyone on here who expresses their opinion respectfully and positively.

Have a question for you. Driver side, besides the door in dashboard there's a small cubicle. Legacy reasons for this cubicle is pre 2016/15 that location used to have the SD card for TomTom. Somewhere in this forum I read that with 2016.5, they have added a flap to this hole. In 2016 it's just a hole with really no real use. Can you confirm, either way please?

Nice pic - how hard were the mudflaps to install yourself? I have been toying w/the idea of adding them...always had mudflaps on my cars until the CX-5.

I was wondering if you still needed to cut out a piece of plastic wheel well molding for a clip nut when you're installing OEM rear mud flaps? I wish you could check the new rubber pad and plastic fastener for fuel tank filler pipe and see how the modified design is after the fuel leak recall while you're there. :)

Welcome and congrats for the new ride.

I checked friend's 2016.5 CX-5 GT that he swapped with his hail-damaged 2014 CX-5 Touring. Everything looks exactly the same as 2016 CX-5. No flap to cover the hole like Mazda6 does.

The hole is literally just a partially cut piece of plastic smaller than the push rivet that goes through it. You could cut it with a pair of kiddy scissors. It's no like the cutout for the hitch on the bumper.

^ Same as those guys above, my is a 2016, and I had to make a small cut out.

cutting that piece out sucked and made me nervous. In the end it gets covered by the mud flap.
