okay so here's the story: (let me inform you that i have never, in my entire life, done any drug or sold any drug. I haven't even seen any drugs other than pain killers after surgery)

me and my buddy were bored so we decided to go into the city and find a sports bar or club just to hang out for an hour or two. well i'm from the suburbs out in the country so i dont know the downtown streets so i took a wrong turn and prolly went around in a circle more than once. so we finally get there, walk across the bridge, smoke a cigar, and come back to my car. So we're on our way home when i see a cop with its lights on pulled over so i slow down, make sure i do everything right, and keep going on my way. well he decided he wanted to pull me over. he walks up to my window, gets my license and insurance then goes to the passenger side and gets his information. i asked him why i got pulled over and he said he would tell me that later (which i thought i had the right to know but whatever) then he goes back to his car and comes back and tells me to get out of the car. he frisks me down, tells my friend to get out and frisks him down and tells us to go sit infront of his cruiser. thats when he tells me he saw me driving on a drug route on 3 different occasions at 2 in the morning and that most people that he sees like that from where i live are buying drugs. so he asks me if i have drugs and all that and i say no i've never touched that stuff. thats when the police dog came in. they had the police dog inside my car sniffing around. then it went to the trunk and started going crazy then sat down (when a trained dog smells drugs it sits) so the cop turns around and goes you sure you dont have anything in here and i'm like yeah i'm sure. so they open my trunk, go through all my s***, tear up the spare tire, and on the left side of the trunk underneath all that s*** like waaaay down there they found a bag of "unknown substance" they asked me how long i've owned my car and i told them 2 years and they looked at each other and said well this bag is well over 5 years old. then they asked where i bought the car from and i said a dealership. and they were like well you're free to go there's no way this is yours. the previous owner must have had it in there from a looong time ago. and the cop with the dog was like well by the way the dog acted there was a large amount of something in your trunk at one point in time. oh yeah and his reason for pulling me over was that my license plate light was out... and i checked it and it's not out it works just fine!

so in other words the guy that owned my car before me was a damn druggie who had a large amount of drugs in his trunk, which is my trunk now. isn't that just awesome.

tell me what ya'll think

the license plate light is a bulls*** excuse they use when they didnt have a reason other then suspition. all my lights in my car are led and the cop tried to pull that on me, i told him there was no way because all my wiring is good and my lights never go out. how could they tell how old it was? was it weed? if it was weed i wouldnt even sweat it.

I was pulled over for a license plate light out and my buddy had a bottle of liquor on him. I got arrested and my light worked fine the whole time, therefore he had no reason to actually pull me over and the case may be dismissed. Be glad you weren't charged with anything.

"oh, well I saw you" doesn't mean s*** in the court room. Glad to hear your good to go.

if its a police officers word over urs it does, thats why people get lawyers. not because they are guilty but becuase the court system is thier word over urs.

It could be any substance. I have used dogs in my profession(military Police), bomb and narcotics dogs. The usually keep bomb dogs and narc dog (k9's) seperate in traning because they learn different things. Thank God it wasn't an explosive K9 that "indicated" something was in your trunk, they would have closed down the block. The dog has no way of telling the owner what it is or how much. A 'large' amount could have been a quarter pound of anything or less.

A police officer just needs a cause to pull you over. THe gray area is that he can " think " your light is out and pull you over. Then once he pulls you over, and he has any reason to think that you have something, he will ask you leading questions as protocol but will most likely search you and your car anyways. Nothing against you but he had a reason to pull you over so look at it as if " he was just doing his job" because hopefully you want him to do things like this randomly in order to keep drugs off the street. He probably could have just said that he remembers seeing a car like this that was doing a drug route, but he didn't want to spook you if you happen to be the one that he was looking for.

Take it on the chin, sometimes this happens. Before I joined the Army 10 years ago....I spent 8 hours in jail because I match the description of a drug dealer. Fortunately they found out that I was the wrong guy and apologized as I walked out of the jail and I had to walk a couple of miles to bail my car out of the compound lot.

i only fought one ticket. ive only gotten two my whole life. and the cop didnt even show. i was the first person to leave the court room.

When I was in the Navy, if you bought a new car, you told the guard at the gate, and got a freebie search with the dog. If you decided to blow off the free search, it was on you (you were responsible for anything they found) if they ever decided to search your car at a later date.

I bought my lifted Chevy used and drove it on and off base hundreds of times, Then one day cleaning it I found a used pipe deep in the center consol, all the way forward. If that would have been found on base I would have been F*%ked. So on that note, if you buy a used car check every nook and cranny.

Not to mention tear it apart! I found keys to a F350, ear rings, cigs, tons of lighters, pot seeds and all that UNDER the seats AND center console!

i got pulled over once while i was standing at the bus stop waiting to catch the bus to go to school because i allegedly looked like some kid reported in the area for trying to break into and steal cars .... but what was funny is that my house was two minutes down the street from where the bus stop is :S and yea i missed the bus

when I bought my msp, I found what appeared to be hollow points and an old condom under the spare tire and out of luck, I found $20 under the backseat!!!

I found 7k of rolled up Benjamens under the spare tire. Oh yeah and there was a craigs list hooker that came with the car but she looked "ate" up so I let her go.... lol you all have such good stories and I have nothing lol. My family even owns two car lots and I have never found anything more than a dirty magazine in a car.

But we own a Tire disposal business and one time we were pushing rims. (Taking old rims and tires and then pushing the rim out of the tire on a hydrolic press, its a really fast way of separating the two) and a Gun fell out of the tire. I have no reason why someone would put a gun in a rim and tire but they called the cops and the gun was clean. So I just guess it was used in some crime and they never found the weapon..... Makes ya think.

so basically lesson learned..... search every square inch of a car when you buy it. never know what you'll find!

well i've had most of my interior out except the dash and headliner and i havent found anything but change and a tool for dissassembling the interior. found out the rear glass was busted at one point. with my last car a found a pot bag under the back seat. but it wasnt even enough to smoke and i had to check with my mom that it was pot cuz it was my first time seeing it
