I still have a couple of questions, just like that one.

- Have you opened up the throttle plate to allow more airflow?

- In terms of tuning, is it limited to just the preloaded maps, or is there the ability to download more from a website or tuner?

- No lift shift, launch control, have you guys looked into these options being added in?

I think the community as a whole could use more info. I've seen some of the other products and they've seemed well, but I haven't read much from your application on the MS3 and MS6.

throttle plate, yes, it is WOT now.

they will have updated maps as time goes on. The unit is internet updateable.

I would also like 2 step on here.

what do you mean? if you mean the throttle restrictions in 1-3 gears, yes, it fixes that crap. you get 15 psi in first.

the throttle by wire problem is seperate from the tune istelf.. im talking about the overall poor relationship between the pedal and the throttle plate.. its not turbo lag.. its the computer!! CPE has a fix for this DO YOU?? im not sure about this on the cobb tuner either?? and yes its part of the tune problem.. but technically its a seperate and additional problem entirely.. even for people without a tune.. understand?? (eek2)

no not really.. i dont think you guys understand the question?? im not talking about power and tune.. my car has 329 currently.. i dont need more power, air, or fuel.. i need to have the pedal move like it did when it was driven by a cable?? (like every older car on the market) cpe can fix this but they need to alter your cpu.. and the cost is about the same as this entire unit..

my main point being that this one of the basic problems in our cars and if you had this as an option you could sell this part to more than just tuners..and this can be treated a little with F/A mixes or tuning.. but that just masks a more complicated problem. i hope that was clear

To say that the throttle only opening 72-75% is a problem is highly subjective. Mazda insists that 75% throttle (per the ECU) is 100% throttle for the engine. The ECU simply recognizes it as ~75% throttle to make adjustments to the throttle plate for adjusting AFRs. If you remove that limit, you are technically pushing it to 100% (per the ECU) but actually taking it to ~125% of its designed limit. By doing so, you also remove the ability for the ECU to make high-side adjustments. It's a safety limitation. Although the 75% is misleading.

thats a little closer to what im talking about... but, still not it.. im talking about the feel.. thats a different issue.. it basically takes me slamming it with no response for a while which screws with the shift timing to get any response.. so full open throttle plate would be nice.. but proportional pedal response is more what im after.. and that really doesnt have anything to do with mods or a WOT setting or any of that other s***..

im starting to be concerned ive felt this problem on every ms6 ive driven so i know its not just mine.. does anyone get this??

It's a built in protection mechanism that keeps you from having fun!! Look at the Cpe site for a better explanation... Most people call this turbo lag!! But my set up is pretty unrestricted and I've noticed after mods or unplugging the battery it doesn't do this as much.. The tech guys at the dealer told me it's a program issue and a big complaint overall.. It's put in the ecu to keep you in line while driving their warrantied product.. So no matter how much you tune it. This will be a seperate issue.. It's in the ecu..

The answer is just way more complicated than can be explained here.. There's a lot of technical issues involved in programming this car.. Simple fix would be to attach a cable from you pedal to the throttle body like the old days.. That would give you a much more proportional feel..

the cobb ap can fix any throttle issues. you can remap how the plate reacts to how much the pedal is pushed.

There is an option in the Sport programmer to remove this restriction. We call it 0-60 Throttle Restriction, for lack of a better term. This is a seperate choice from the actual engine tuning.
