I asked about that and with Exhaust gas temps as hot as they get it won't do much good, and unfortunately the crack is in a bad spot, running around the manifold between the 2 and 3 ports. Wrapping it won't really help either, in fact that might cause the cracking to go further. When I get a new manifold I may very well have it jet coated or something like that, depends on if I go stainless tubular or not.
 
yes, i hear that header wraps degrade the header over time...more heat than what the header material was intended for, plus it might add unwanted stresses from thermal expansion, depending on how tight you wrap it when its cold, but i wouldn't know for sure
 
you can do this thing called ceramic coating where they will coat parts of your engine (cylinders, pistons, valves, head) or exhaust headers which is supposed to help with heat management, i think the company i found a while back for work was based in the UK so you ship them your parts. we were looking at it hoping it would add some electrical insulation since we were trying to develop a corona ignition system which requires that the electrode doesnt have any exposed metal nearby that would allow it to arc. But the reason they do the coating for people is for heat management, maybe its worth looking into. just google "ceramic coating" or something similar.

The turbo was only the intercooler hose that popped off, and Carlsen Subaru just did some magical airbag system reboot CTRL+ALT+DELETE type s*** on my car to make it work after Stevens Creek ****** up.

List of things to fix before it's really ready to go:

1. Radiator Fans
2. Cracked Exhaust Manifold (busted when this whole thing started, now cracking at an accelerated rate)
3. Oil Leak
4. Put in axles to replace flakey mazda axle

Then, when it's all buttoned up it will really be done, I should have my cooling issues addressed, I'll have a better manifold, good axles, and just some minor tweaks to the tune and it's done.

Jared something you might want to consider when prepping a manifold. This may be a way to fix your cracking problem. Take a look at the HiBoost manifold. On the flange there are cuts made into it. The effect these have is more evenly distributed thermal expasion which keeps the manifold from "taco'ing" at the flange.
