Hows it going?

Well, my names Brian and I just purchased an 08' black mica MS3 Grand Touring to replace my 07' Civic Si. My Civic was involved in an accident with a drunk driver and totalled while it was parked in Galveston on the Seawall. Luckily my girlfriend and I were not in the car, but just a matter of a few feet from it when the accident occured. All I have ever owned are 3 Taffeta White Honda Civics since I got my license 7 years ago. I started out with a 01' LX sedan, then upgraded to a brand new 04' Si hatchback (EP3) and then up to a 07' Si sedan. So I'm new to the Mazda world and dont have much of an idea of where this path is going to take me, but I'm eager to learn and think I'm really going to enjoy this huge change.lol I got the car for a really good price and have no regrets...

Here was my Si in Tennessee 2 weeks ago on vacation...

Glad you and your gf were safe from the harm!
What mods did you have on the Si? The whip looked pretty tight!

I almost bought an 08 SI but I spent 3years with an 04 RSX Type S so I needed a change. Congrats on the new car.

Lol, I too came from a civic si, a 2007 Alabaster Silver Coupe.
No regrets (:

Man! That sucks about the car! But hey, now you're an owner of the ms3.

See you have the gt. So be advised that the bose isn't as good as it should be... Fun car though

damn...are you sure it wasnt a bull going after the red rims?

welcome to the group!

That pic is amazing! What's up with the driver of the truck? I hear that drunk drivers NEVER get hurt. It's always in other people in accidents involved with drunks that get hurt... Did anyone get hurt?

If not, someone was looking out at that time...

ouch! i saw this in the news the other day... i heard the drivers of the truck didn't get hurt?

i was walking down that seawall one night, and saw two girls in a jeep just sail right off of it... they were injured, but survived...

seems like every year or so, someone makes the 'plunge'...

sorry about your car..... :(

but welcome to the torque club!

Wow that accident is nutty! Glad you weren't in the car.

But ya welcome and enjoy the car! Just don't park it near the seawall again!

Hey dude, my name's Brian too, I also have an '08 Black Mica GT, and also replaced a totaled car -- awesome, haha!

That picture is nutty! It would have been even more spectacular if your car had been rocketed off the seawall also! Although it would have been even more sad. :( Sorry for your loss...

Thanx for the welcome guys! The MS3 is a very big upgrade from an Si in my opinion. Just the fact that I can be on the highway at 65mph or so and give it a lil gas to pass someone without downshifting...AWESOME! Also, the interior is so much more comfortable and easier to use. Seats are very comfortable for my 70+ miles roundtrip a day to work. The Bose system is most definatly a step up from a Civic Si's "premium sound" system.haha I ended up putting in an aftermarket Kenwood navigation/DVD screen as soon as I bought that car, unfortionatly I found it in the backseat in 3 peices after the wreck.lol Im having to file on my insurance until we know more about the accident and the other drivers including if they even had insurance. Big mess, but the DA is going after them to the fullest since they had a hit N' run right before hitting my car. The 2 girls in the truck were alright, had to be helicoptered to Houston with broken legs, messed up knees, and one had a broken pelvis. I'm just having to argue with insurance on all my aftermarket goodies that were on the Si, but the detective handling the case said the girls may have to pay me back for everything. So lets hope it all works out.lol

I didnt have a whole lot really:
Skunk2 coilovers and camber kit, red 17'' DRAG DR-16's with brand new Nitto Neo Gens, custom HKS hi-power catback, X-intake, JDM Type R valve cover and "H" emblems, 09' Si sedan taillights, ARC titanium shiftknob, Skunk2 SS, Mugen window visors, Mugen rear roof spoiler, XenonDepot 6500K HIDs and PIAA high beams/fog light bulbs, Kenwood DNX7100 navi/DVD screen, and a Diamond Audio 12'' sub with Kenwood 1800W amp. I just realized I did a mof list in the most horrible fashion.lol Anywayz, the Si will be missed, but I'm on to bigger and better things@!(cabpatch)
