i seen the thread with about mpnick. but that car has been rebuilt and i am sure there is alot more than 2 grand in it.

i seen that sonicraze has the unichip and those are good numbers not to sure what else he has. aslo another thing to think about is warranty. you can spend alot less on an srt and go even faster and not have to worry about the warranty.

i liked my msp and was a fun car car to drive and handled awsome and give it that. i just wanted something with a better platform to build on if wish to. but so far i am been very happy with it so its going to get much stuff done to it.

ajjaja i was asking only opinions just that . i test drive one today and personally i like the fact that is fast but i didn't like it at all so i might go for another car like a normal wrx maybe 2003 or 2002 used with out mods. i just had a accident in my civic today and the car is almost totalled so i have the money for another car . oh by the way thanks for all the opinions. i was wondering how the msp likes the srt-4's and after all this i don't like the car .

Yeah I bet it's REAL HARD to get a MSP faster than a stock srt-4, I would imagine you would have to spend at least 2grand..........oh wait nevermind.

all kidding aside if I would have bought an SRT-4, however I actually enjoy a challenge in making a car faster.
 
srt4 will soon be everywhere, the msp is pretty limited compared to how many srt4's are going to be running around in a couple of years... something to think about I suppose *shrug*
 
yeah, SRT-4s are getting pretty common...but it seems like for every two that are bought one is crashed by some dumbass who cant drive it...automotive natural selection (lol2)
 
Flame away, but in my honest opinion as much as I loved my speed my 04 SRT-4 w/LSD is great. I may not have PW in the rear, but it beats that crappy hesitation issue. It may not Handel as well, but after I install my Mopar coils it will be decent. Not to take anything away from the Speed, but the SRT is much better then I thought it would be...
 
the srt-4 when i test drove it, was extremly awesome and fun. The shear power it has esspecially when u hit the top of 3rd gear is so much fun. I dont care about rear power windows because its just me and my girlfriend in my car! Seats are real comfortable, very nice gauges esp. the boost gauge. Nice beefy sounding exhaust, performance tires, nice brake calipers, aggresive look. VERY powerful motor and tranny. 7yr/70,000mi. powertrain. A bunch of CHEAP mopar parts that ARE covered under warranty. Decent handling, VERY decent price. The only things i would say bad about it (if i was to be picky) the stock radio is garbage, that can be changed. Rear is too high, that can be changed, The name "NEON" but heh once people see a little "neon" blow pass them with 250hp to the wheels and 15psi with those loud exhaust ports yelling, they won't look at it like a regular neon. Over all IMO it's a bad ass car, a good price, and with the mopar stage 1 installed can take an Sti from a 15 roll....and has my vote! Notice not once did i compare it to the MSP thats because its NOT the MSP!
 
I totally agree with the last two posts...but i still havent test driven one yet...just a few ridealongs...
 
High 12 - low 13's with the base $850.00 stage II and the 04's have a Kicker sound system with Sub & amp in the trunk. Not as good as the speed but much better then the 03 SRT-4.

yea, i really don't see why a lot of people here get mad at the SRT-4 i mean just because it's faster than an MSP and costs the same? I have an MSP and i love it, i bought it over the SRT-4 for a reason it seems like some people here bought their MSP now all they do is complain that the srt is faster. THEN WHY DID YOU BUY THE MSP IF ALL YOU WANTED WAS IT TO BE "FAST" To be completely honest i think my next car (whenever that might be) might be an SRT-4 just beause of its amazing bang for your buck factor. 20g and you get a really powerful car that with an extra 2k not even can become an even faster car..
 
The MSPs handling is unreal for a FWD and having owned one I would never disrespect it. I wanted the fast 1/4 mile car and bought the Speed cause I thought it could be like my Mazda 323GT which was a great 1/4 car, but should have known the I could only safely go so far with a high compression engine. Regardless the Speed is still beautiful car.

IMO the srt is the newest dsm kinda car. But in 10 years everyone will been saying the same thing-been there, had fun, moving onto something better. The MSpro however is much more unique. Its also already comes with insane handling, a nice interior, good looks,a turbo and a rich a/f ratio thats just waiting to have the boost turned up a bit until you can afford to get a ems. Its sorta like this, mazda knew that people who know what they are doing and want to make some crazy numbers with the msp will use an aftermarket ems, so have the car run rich so when joe cool puts his mbc @ 10 psi on an otherwise stock car, he doesnt blow the motor on the first pass. (Im sure thats not why it runs rich, but its the only positive comment about the richness ive ever seen on this board lol )
