But their is something so much more fufilling about goin NA. To be able to pull as much hp out of an engine as possible without power adders. You tackle a project like that and you'll be among the few. Especially the non vtec crowd.
 
stroker?

no way on earth you'd want to make the stroke on the 2L any more than it already is...the rod ratio is already aweful...you'd be flat out getting the thing to rev to stock redline with a stroker kit on board before things started snapping...(i haven't done the sums, this is purely an estimation)...

Best bet is to actually REDUCE the stroke, and overbore to get the lions share of your displacement back.... you may kill some torque by doing it this way, but the extra bore, plus higher engine speeds you'll be able to run will more than compensate for this....

Yeah, I think if you de-stoke it and bore it out, you might get some extra RPM's out of it as well. Smaller motors just seem to rev faster and higher right?
