How much did you pay for your Mazda2?

yes, two other dealers. one has a liquid silver sport 5speed. the other a red 5speed sport. I am unsure of what color i want but i know its not red. Dealers around here for some reason want you to but off the lot, they dont like to get you the car you want. Last year i was ready to buy but backed out because the dealer would not get me a 5speed in green, kept pushing the auto on me so i walked. I might have to drive out of state to get waht i want, i like the new blue and liquid silver, already have a black car and truck and hate the maintenace on them, white is the color of my work van and company truck, lol...seems like i am a bit picky but i have to pay for it for 5 yrs i want a color i like.

I did actually buy the car I have off the lot, but I was really lucky as the green grew on me. Of the two colors you mentioned you liked, I would concur on the blue. I've only seen a blue one in person once, but I really liked it.

Since you live in RI, I would say going out of state wouldn't be too far-fetched. I'm sure the state somewhat streamlines the process to register a car bought out-of-state...I would think so because RI is so tiny and apparently all the dealers are crooks LOL. I would definitely say stick to your guns as you are; obviously, it's important to get the car you want because you're the one who's going to have to live with it for the next few years.

I don't know how urgent the matter of getting this car is to you, but you might want to wait for the new 2 to come out, just for the sake of longevity. It's easier to live with the car when you get the just-launched model, as opposed to buying the older generation within months before the new one goes on sale (of course, Mazda hasn't released any information about when the new 2 is coming, or even if it's coming to the U.S., but I would expect it to arrive by 2015.) If you can wait that long, prices on the current-gen 2 will probably go down as well.

Food for thought :)

I'm new here and though I'd chime in. I know the last post was in March but I am so excited to get my car on Friday and I was wondering If I got a good deal. I shopped around did True Car knew what wanted to pay out the door which I came close and my monthly payments are in line with what I want. And it's weird cause I saw one Mazda in silver a couple weeks ago and can't remember now if it was a 2 or 3 cause my husband just got a great deal on a 3 Hatchback Grand Touring in white and I keep looking now hoping to see more Mazda's. I've seen only one 6 but anyway I am getting a 2014 2 automatic in Zeal Red. I am having the Factory integrated Bluetooth put in and out the door my price is like 16,083 I wanted to be out the door with my trade in at 14-15 so with my 1200 I'm getting for my old 2002 Escort ZX2 I think I did pretty good. Mazda has a special now on the 2's 0% for 60 or 2000 off MSRP plus whatever interest rate you qualify for. My dealership gave me extra off plus I got a Mazda 500 Loyalty cause my husband just bought a Mazda. My dealership here he bought his 3 from wanted 16,99o with just an after market bluetooth put and said I can't match that price so that is how I know I did good going elsewhere.

Just bought my 2014 new Mazda 2 AT sport in San Jose, CA. Made a mistake to buy at 11/1 instead of 10/31 which may have a better deal. 13,900 for the car with bluetooth. 15432 OTD. 10mile on the ODO. I have a 1999 mazda 626 and it is a good car. So still go to mazda.

Currently negotiating a 11 touring manual with 24k on it. Listed at 9850, I'm offering 10.5 OTD. Pretty sure they will do it. Need my mechanic to inspect it first. Drove great, but an odd hot smell a few times when at a stop.

Currently daily a 90 Jetta. Need something more reliable as I'm a consultant and at client sites 20 times a month.... Want something cheap small and fun and the 2 seems like the only option. Wish the polo gti was here....

If anyone has a low miles manual for sale within 100 miles of Chicago hit me up!

Bought my M2 Sport in June 2014. It was a 2013 on the lot with 400 miles on it and paid $12,000.

It is my daily driver and is a great car.

Bought mine this almost a year ago, had 78k on the clock and one very scuffed wheel, I paid 3,800 (c. $5,750)
It was the cheapest 1.5 manual I could find and one year later it is on 89k and I've had no major problems, love it!
