I sold cars for a month (hated it), so maybe this will help.
- The car you saw was traded in. If they tell you that it is not available, that is because it is not. It has to clear (the WHOLE deal with the owner has to go through).
To be honest, you will get a MUCH better deal if you can find one locally from a private party. It will even be worth it to drive a few hundred miles to find a similar MP3.
Dealers have to buy low and sell high to make any money, so the only people who should buy used from a dealer are...
1. People who need special financing
2. People who want warrantys
3. People who aren't comfortable buying from a private party.
4. People who don't want to deal with the hassle of looking around at private party deals.
If you can get a decent deal, get it. If not, look at
www.autotrader.com for an MP3 within 300 miles of your location.
