Hey i found one in back of a local dealership with no plates on it, interior looks stock, paint is ummm well ok ..there is one dent in the hood, and i couldnt get under the hood, just wondering if the wife says its ok what should i offer the dealership or what would be a reasonable price they should be selling it for....thanks guys

Agreed take your time and make sure everything's right first. Then be sure to check everything on the car for functionality. Anything that doesn't work could be used as a bargaining chip.
For example, when I bought my used 2000 Trans Am from CarMax, my father and I spent three (3) hours making sure everything worked right - we set the t-tops, set off the alarm, took out the spare tire, jacked the car up, played with the radio, etc. All while the car was in the showroom and there were 10 or so salespeople staring at us trying to figure out if we'll ever actually buy the car.
Unfortunately, if it's at a dealer, chances are they know it's rare. So I doubt you'll be able to get them to bargain any lower. They'll also set the price rather high expecting someone who knows about the car's rarity to jump on it no matter the price...

those prices seem REAL high but maybe thats cuz its in canadian dollars. so i dunno what that equals in US. I bought mine a year ago for 10k from a dealer. im sellin it now for 8k. im only sellin it cuz i just got a msp.

I sold cars for a month (hated it), so maybe this will help.
- The car you saw was traded in. If they tell you that it is not available, that is because it is not. It has to clear (the WHOLE deal with the owner has to go through).
To be honest, you will get a MUCH better deal if you can find one locally from a private party. It will even be worth it to drive a few hundred miles to find a similar MP3.
Dealers have to buy low and sell high to make any money, so the only people who should buy used from a dealer are...
1. People who need special financing
2. People who want warrantys
3. People who aren't comfortable buying from a private party.
4. People who don't want to deal with the hassle of looking around at private party deals.
If you can get a decent deal, get it. If not, look at www.autotrader.com for an MP3 within 300 miles of your location.
