HOW: More than just 4 speakers

Hey guys, I have a p5, and have aftermarket HU, door speakers, and 2 subs.

I have (2) 6x9 Boston Acoustin^3 speakers, my idea is the rear fiberglass tray in the back hatch of the P5, I will cut out (2) 6x9 holes, and run the wiring to them. How exactly would I run speaker wires to them? NOTE: all my speakers are in doors. (except subs) Pretty much I will be copying the sedan Protege's, and custom making the rear tray and putting in 6x9s, but keeping the 4 other speakers, any idea on how to fool the HU into thinking it has 4 speakers, but still sending equal power to all, blah blah... how would it all work?

BTW, the 6x9 speakers are 3way with built in crossover.

I wouldn't do it man. The bass from the 6x9s will actualy make that cover hop. Sell the BAs and get an amp for you door speakers.

well I could just easily secure the hatch cover, I really just want to do it because of the acoustic possibilities of having speakers on the hatch pointing up, reflecting into the cabin. I would amp the door speakers but they are in the door, so the sound coming from them is worse than if they were mounted higher, I mean, if you just have your leg next to the door, you can block a lot of treble

you can go ultra ghetto and get 6x9 speaker enclosures... lol.. but like i said before.. ULTRA GHETTO

Our door speaker locations are a much better position when it comes to SQ when compared to a cargo area cover that will just flop around, flex and is generaly worthless as a baffle, Now if you rebuild that cover out of more solid materials and find a better way to secure it then you'll be good to go. I am actualy trying to come up with a good easy way to create a kick panel enclosure for our cars right now. This is going to take some time but I may have them ready to build for people in about 2 months. Its going to take a while becuase I realy want the imaging to be dead on.

more speakers does not mean better sound quality BTW, just keep that in mind, a good setup is 2 front 6.5" (MB quart) and 2 quality 12" subs. Thats it! it will go loud and sound good. rear speakers are only for people in the back... you shouldn't be in the back seat when your driving.. :)

Well seeing as I drive a freaking, wagon, I tend to have back seat passengers, hehe

I have installed two 6x9 in my back panel and they sound great. But they have an amp pushing them. My 4 stock speakers are connected the my HU. I would disconnect the rear door speakers and connect the 6x9 if you only want 4 off the HU.
