Been driving 5 years.
Pulled over for speeding April 2000, 65 in a 45. Got an 'unsafe driving' ticket. Fine + 0 points.
Pulled over for speeding March 2001, 50 in a 35, in a national park. Got a speeding ticket from the park service. Fine + 0 points.
Pulled over for speeding April 2002, was doing 59 in a 50. Got a ticket for 80 in a 50. Went to court, said I was doing 59, not 80. Reduced to 9mph over. Fine + 2 points
Pulled over for speeding, February 2003, 91 in a 65. Verbal warning.
Took a defensive driving and CEVO (Certified Emergency Vehical Operater..I drive an ambulance) class...got rid of the 2 points and got 10% off my car insurance.

2 tickets for failing to yield to a pedestrian (cop was a total b****) and speeding. no radar dectector.

9 yrs of driving........... like 30 tickets or so........2 revoked liscenses for 2 diffrent states.......... umm.......... damn street racing did me in when i lived in ny and pensacola!!..... this car i have been pulled over 6 times and got 3 tickets all for doing 10 over(exactly 10over each time) never paid attention to that point thing.... i just know if my liscense is good or not!!

improper lane change in PA (SPEEDING WARNING.. i was going 100mph+)
16mph in north NJ.
I average 1 a year, never got a speeding ticket in the MP3, just a few warnings, i got the improper lane change on 95 going over 100mph. The state trooper was real nice
total= aaprox $700....
the NJ one was 212$ ******* jersey cops

4 years driving, 4 tickets, 2 actual, 2 other ones i took the classes. only one i can remember is my most recent, donig 81 in a 35. he gave me the highest civil ticket and threatened to give me a criminal ticket. heh.... he said i was clear for the driving class, so i took it the next week. very luck i was that i could take it again
No, parking tickets do not count.
I consider those as parking fee.

-1 Pull over and warning doing 71 on a 60 zone on my way back from Spokane, WA to Pullman WA., on my 1994 Corolla.
-1 ticket fail to yield when exiting from a gas station which ended up in a crash with my 1994 Corolla-----------$187 dollars from Issaquah, WA.
-1 speeding ticket with my Corolla doing 90 in 70 zone on I-90 before entering the town of Ellensburg, WA. $80 dollars. (There are always 2 patrol cars there 24-7 on I-90 near Ellensburg, WA monitoring both side of the highway. So don't speed whenever you get within 10 miles of Ellensburg on I-90. That 2 gay cops catch speeding for a living.)

- 1 speeding ticket, $184 dollars. Did a 55 in 35 zone inside Pullman, WA on my Protege5.
No detector so far.
So, do you all agree that detector does lower your chance or even prevent you from getting tickets?
