how increse MX6 HorsePower(cheaper method)?

Please anyone tell me which way is cheaper and better modify MX6

(plz indicate brand name, model number, how much price on USD)

1.Intake (Air filter is intake?)

2.exhaust ( I just got confused, do I need install whole pack include exhaust+muffler for over 600 Candian Dollor? How many HorsePower can I got normally? 5, 10HP?)

there is really no cheap way to obtain naturally aspirated horsepower. I had an mx6 before my protege and the only time i realized power was when i bought my borla cat back exhaust and my hotshot cold air intake. If you do these and put them on your car, you will DEFINATELY feel the increase. Mostly like 10 hp or so. Go to jcwhitney.com and search for mx6 parts and find the borla catback exhaust. Itll be about 369 bucks which is the cheapest you will find. Then go to www.rr-racing.com and look for the cold air intake for the mx6. That will run you about 200 bucks. With both these mods you will gain about 10 horse. They were the best mods for me.

In regard to cheaply going faster. Remove the wiehgt from your car. On an mx6 for every 100 lbs you eliminate it is like adding 10 HP.

My advice to you is save up and buy the exhaust and intake.
