how i got my new mazdaspeed :)

Kain with the sick burn...
Good job on getting your car. I got an '07 exactly a year ago, and I just pretend that I couldn't get a good deal on a new one now. Otherwise I would cry.

My only request is that your next epic tale involves paragraphs.
Man, no lie! I kinda gave up on that one.

...and they lived happily ever after :) I can't wait to get my CWP MS3 - I'm currently working out some numbers between 2 dealerships!

Yea I'll work on that one, next time I'll preview post so I know how hard on the eyes it is.

What happened to the end of the story? No more posts! I bet the dealer pulled a fast one on him. Hope not though.

No fast one! But he did kind of let me down. I spent all day at work just cruising through my s*** so I could get out of there and drive up to the dealer. When I called him around 6 he ends up telling me that he hopes it will be there by Sunday. Anyways, he then proceeds to tell me that it's been a while since he's gotten a vehicle shipped from the port and doesn't know if they deliver Sundays, so he's thinking probably Monday (dunno)

SO to say the least I was pretty bummed out and now I don't get to spend all weekend driving, and the worst part is I have a commitment Monday nights so if it is in fact then, I probably won't end up w/ it till Tuesday. Until then I'm gonna keep reading up on some quick mods, but I promise pics soon enough!

So after the dealer let me down the first time, I was like oh well, whatever, I'll get it on Monday. It'll feel better that way anyways, almost like when blue balls get relieved. But when I call the dealer on Monday after getting off from work, he tells me the car hasn't showed up yet. I guess since it was not a regular delivery (he convinced the port to give it to him instead of another dealership, so it was "special"), he said the time wasn't scheduled, but he said the rep told him to just "look out for the truck."

Well anyways, I have obligations on Monday nights at 7, so if I wasn't gonna get it before 5:45, it was over anyways. So I'm waiting and waiting and my phone starts to ring at 5:30. I was sooo ecstatic to see the number on the phone....until I picked it up. So he says "you're never gonna believe this." I'm like oh f*ck that's never good to hear. He then proceeds to tell me that the delivery driver dropped the car off at the original location it was supposed to go to!@!!@# (omg) I couldnt believe what I was hearing! He even says that the other dealer was like "Hey isn't this supposed to be going to Fremont?" and I'm like how the hell did they not just tell the driver to take it right then?!

Now my estimated delivery time is tomorrow morning. The driver had to finish his deliveries yesterday, drive back to central California today, and is coming back tomorrow. So basically I'm gonna have to wait till I get off tomorrow and hope that it's actually there.

Bottom line? I'm pissed...with an original speculation of a Friday arrival, it has now turned into being 5 days late. Worth an extra couple hundred dollar discount don't you think? Well I guess you'll have to wait for those pics.....

It's worth waiting for.

Get an Intake, rear Motor Mount and some shifter bushings first. Next get a dashhawk or Aeroforce scan gauge so you can see whet she's doing. Keep and eye on boost leaks from the stock BPV as they are crap. Consider the Forge BPV if you are on a budget and don't care about the funny sound it makes.

It'll be worth the wait...I was freaking out like a drug addict with no crack (no speaking from personal experience so chill lol)
In my case I had to wait for the damn insurance to go through. So we went to the dealer, something went down with the insurance company so I ended up just going to look at it. I wanted to drive it so bad.
It'll work out for you

delayed, but here it is :)

Hey, I've finally found some free time to sit down and upload pics of my baby, I hope you're as excited as I am :)

So the dealer FINALLY called me and let me know my white lightning had arrived, and luckily I made sure to let him know ahead of time not to drill license plate holes in the front because as most dealers do, every single car in the lot had a front plate on it (I thought maybe for these badass cars they wouldnt, but even all the ms3s had them). I was ecstatic to see her sitting out front of the dealer after my 25 minute drive, just waiting to be driven home. It didn't happen quite as fast as I wanted it to; even though my mom had a pre-approved loan through our credit union, the dealer was still trying to haggle us to pick up a loan through them, but we didn't want it.

Here's one of both my 3s together

The whole process took about 2 hours, and didn't happen exactly as planned. They had to do a final walk around of my trade-in and kept going in and out of the building, talking to each other, walking around again... I had a bunch of bug splatter on the bumper from when I drove down to San Diego, so it was hiding this 1 inch deep gash on the front. They finally found it once they drove the car over to their used car rep and decided to take off 275 bucks from their original offer. I'm not that pissed though cause they completely missed this ding on the outside of the back wheel well where one of my old roommates accidentally turned too fast getting out of our driveway and put some nice scuffs in it. (eekfu) sooo I'm still satisfied (sssh)

So the final verdict for mileage on her...

I guess it was more than should have been on it because of the whole dealer mixup...not sure that it would have really been very much less though. The ride home from the dealership was sweeeet. Turns out the dealer had to follow us home in my trade-in cause I forgot to bring both the pink slip and registration for my 3....anyways, I didn't go that fast, but still had enough fun to freak my mom out. Got home and it was dark as hell, so the pics aren't very revealing, but I tried to get some cool ones.

So the final verdict is I'M IN LOVE WITH MY MAZDASPEED and am finding it super f*cking hard to not lay on it and just break in the engine properly...I just can't handle having that kind of power and not using it...I'll get used to it eventually...I just need to keep reminding myself that it's for the good of the car in the long run..(sad2)

Well hopefully I'll be more active on this thing, I just started my new job so it's hard to find time. Thanks for all the encouraging words!

Do some research on proper engine break-in.....you'll be pleasantly surprised.

http://www.ntnoa.org/enginebreakin.htm

For those who still think that running the engine hard during break-in falls into the category of cruel and unusual punishment, there is one more argument for using high power loading for short periods (to avoid excessive heat) during the break-in. The use of low power settings does not expand the piston rings enough, and a film of oil is left on the cylinder walls. The high temperatures in the combustion chamber will oxidize this oil film so that it creates glazing of the cylinder walls. When this happens, the ring break-in process stops, and excessive oil consumption frequently occurs.

wow congrats on an awesome deal, one think i didnt do was be patient but in the end i dont care about my payment lol i love my car!!! :)

My payments I can afford. 350'ish a month. Just due to me being unemployed for the while has led to slightly high credit card debt =\
