I am just curious how the restart of the engine work when i-stop is engaged and the engine restarts at a red light for example? I mean technicaly, does anyone here know how Mazdas system work? I can clearly hear that it is a different sound when the engine starts when i am at a red light or when i push the start button in the morning.
Can it be that the engine uses the compression in some how when restart? I mean that the engine stops at a certain stage and can use the high compression to cough it back up again? I have also noticed that it restarts after a sertain time when i am at a red light, even if i have held my foot hard at the brake pedal, maybe 1 minute or so, the it restarts.
