I like that sig pic..how did you do it?

Anyways..method of washing car

rinse, soap, brush, rinse, dry

randomly got two pics that were close to same angle, one with hood open, one with closed. I cut-out the hood in one... made it like 30% opacity or something... then pasted it over the picture with the hood open. It was a crap job and the pics did not even line up.... but somehow it came out sweet. Next photo shoot I will get a pic from the same spot and re-do it.

Damn, dude... you must go through like a gallon of car wash liquid a month!

I wash and wax every other week.

I use soap + water in bucket and scrub with soft sponge. I start with the top and work my way down the sides, rinsing soapy water off after doing each section. After I dry the car I spray anti-break dust stuff on the rims, rinse it off, and dry. Then I apply a nice coat of black magic tire foam protectant/shine. I give the tire stuff enough time to dry then pull the car in the garage for a wax.

I wax the car the same way I wash--start from the top and work down, doing one section at a time. After I finish applying wax I apply Rain-X. While the Rain-X is drying I use a clean cloth to wipe the wax dust off. I then use another clean towel to wipe off Rain-X residue. Finally, I drive around the neighborhood to blow off excess dust that settles on the car.

2-3 hours of my time well spent every other weekend, and then it rains.

Yeah, it sucks.

I hate when the water is dirty though, and the more dirt in the bucket, the less it seems to suds up.

You should follow GrayZoom's example and use two different buckets.

I use to be all anal about my car being clean.... but now, I just say hell with it. Driving around in a clean benz was nice, but a clean mazda? hmmmmm

Also when I was all anal, I bought a $600 power washer and water spots that never went away. Even if I was outside for hours trying to get all the water off before it dryed, I still had freakin water spots.

My sister gave me that Mister clean dryless car wash stuff for Christmas, but its only sitting in my closet collecting dust. I worry more about the grass being cut now. LOL

From time to time, I do venture out when the local clubs have a Fundraiser. Love to watch the hot girls and guys almost naked washing and buffing cars.

Wash car once a week

1. Open Beer, preferably dark or Heffenweizen
2. Fill Bucket w/water and Meguires Gold Class Soap.
3. Wet Car
4. Wash with mitt
5. Clean Wheels with old sponge
6. Wash off Soap
7. Dry with synthetic chamois (forgot Brand)
8. Use black magic trim and tire on.. you guessed it; the tires and trim
9. Clean dash and interior trim with black magic spray
10. Vaccum
11. Once a month I clean all the door jams and engine compartment
12. 4 times a year I wax and clay with meguires cleaner wax and mothers clay bar. I also do any touch-up on any rock chips and clean the carpets and seats.

I use the Mr. Clean Auto Dry. Works great! Then I clean my windows inside and out with glass cleaner, apply rainx to all the windows, clean the rims, and then spray that Black Magic tire shine onto my tires.
