Can anyone tell me how to remove thi grill? Is it easy. Do I have to remove the whole front bumper or just a few screws. I also saw these rivets that look like the ones that you take a small screw driver and pop out but they seem like they don't come out.

If it is like the Protege 5, there ate two screws (maybe it was three) attaching it in front of the radiator (remove them). Then you have to pull up and towards the front of the car (pretty hard) until the lower holds break lose. You have to pull pretty hard but once you break them lose the first time, they come out much easier later down the road. I'd go out and take pics for you, but it is dark out. Sorry.......

Okay, so it's just removing the screws and not the rivets that look like they are going through the plastic. I guess the grill slides up and out from the back of them. Thanks, I will try it.

I remember reading a how-to, but I don't remeber where it is. There are 2 screws and 2 push pins. There are 7 more latching clips and 2 alignment pins also. You need to pull up and out to get it the rest of it way out

You putting in a new horn, becasue you should if you have it off. Easy install off factory wires and ground point.......i installed a high and a low horn, which are both much louder than stock.

That's funny. I went out and undid the two screws and two push pins and then I was like, wtf? How the hell am I getting this thing out? I saw what I think were three screws at the bottom but didn't know how to get to them. The how-to should help. We'll see.

No if it's like the protege5, there are only 2 screws. The rivets you see are just that..they are little stubs that go throught the grill so that the bottom of the grill doesn't move. You have to unscrew the top screws, then pull the grill up and towards you in one motion.

Removing Front Grill

Here is how I took off my MSP's grill to paint the emblem.

There are 4 black clips which hold the grill to the frame above the radiator (top of grill)
There are clips right next to the screws, which hold the top of the grill to the top of the bumper (one prer screw)
Then there are 3 "alignment" pins along the bottom of the grill, which do not clip at all.
2 of the 4 clips along the top of the grill can be pryed out by pulling out the center, then pulling out the outer ring.
The other two pins that snap into the frame pull out by themselves.
The two clips next to the screws will need to be pinched from underneath.

Follow these steps in order:

Unscrew the 2 screws on top.
Pry out the two pins and their "holders" with a flathead screwdriver
Pull on the top of the grill - horizontally toward you
The other two pins will remove themselves from the frame
Under the plastic portion where the screws were, the grill snaps to the bumper....you will see the bumper move as you pull the grill outward
Reach under here (next to screw hole) and pinch the pin, removing the grill from the bumper...all clips and snaps are detached...but you have to pull the grill off in the right manner.
Now, There are two long horiz. pieces of plastic which guide the grill into the frame. (next to the clips you pryed out with a screwdriver)
Slowly continue to pull the grill horiz. outward until these plastic pieces come fully out of their holes
They are not clips, but they are pins that keep you from being able to pull upward on the grill.
Once these are out of the frame, lift the grill upward. DONE You will notice the lower portion of the grill was never acutally attached to the bumper, just resting over some pins.
The bumper will move a lot, but dont worry.

To put it back on, push the top pins in first, and the lower part of the grill will fall right over the pins which come up from the bumper. Do not try to align the pins on the bottom of the grill first, then snap the top into place. You must push the top pins in first. Hope this helps. I can take pictures is need-be....but you should figure it out.
