Hooking up auxiliary lights to hybrid

Hey all.. I want to hookup auxiliary lights to my hybrid and think I can make the connections through the fuse box. Normally they're connected directly to the 12V battery but with the hybrid that battery is at the rear of the car. Would be a whole lot easier if they can be connected at the fuse box. Any thoughts? Thanks
