Latest input on the subject -- Took her out for some errands. A mix of interstate and stop 'n' go. No hood heat at all. A later errand allowed a bit of flogging, still no heat. The last trip, I leaned on her pretty hard and then let her idle while I unloaded the "stuff". At that point, the hood near the pivot point of the passeger windshield wiper was noticeably warm, but not "touch me not" hot.

i could see where the hood would get real hot in stop and go with the sun out but no really with interstate driving cause of the wind, which would take the heat off of it.....so who knows
