2007 Black MS3
First off, I have to say THANK YOU to L.C. Lancaster from Community Mazda in Oak Forest, IL. Here's why:
I, like most of you, have had my deposit down for an MSP for many months. Also like most of you, I'd been told "oh, 2 to 3 more weeks" too many times. This was the case @ cook imports in Farmington Hills, MI. My dealer told me it would be there soon and it never seemed to get there. The last straw was when I asked if they jacked the prices up over MSRP and he said "a little". With that, I decided to persue other options. I was headed to Chicago (well, a little south of the actual city) to visit my bestest friend. When I got there Friday, I hopped online and checked the local dealerships near him. Community Mazda had an Orange Speed listed in their online inventory so we headed over there. Unfortunately, they were closed, but I got to oogle the black one in their showroom thru the window. Saturday morning, we decided to head over there again. L.C. came right up to us and we started talking about the MSP and I asked if they had an orange one. He said they were expecting one and went to ask his sales mgr. about it. My buddy heard him ask, and also heard the answer: it was on the truck on the way there! He said they didn't have waiting lists, and if I wanted it, it was mine. blah blah blah Long story short (too late?), on Monday, Feb. 3rd (my birthday!!!), I was driving back to Detroit from Chicago and got a call - the car was there. My buddy ran down there to put a deposit on it as I turned around and headed back to Chicago. Picked it up yesterday (the 4th) and drove it back to Detroit the same day. This car is wonderful. Most of the trip was in snow, with high winds and wet and/or snowy roads and I didn't have any problems. Can't wait until it's broken in a little and I can see what she can really do.

Once again, big props out to L.C. - he came thru in 1 day where my dealer couldn't for months. I'm so looking forward to asking for my deposit back!
