Anyone good with fiberglass? I never made an attempt at it but I was thinking of ways to get my radio in for the time being since I am going nuts withought it.

Can I use a standard double din which I have from my old car and now build a foam body around it shape it then add layers of fiberglass resin sand it down and get a temp. dash kit ? I am not sure what are all the steps to making something out of fiberglass but I would imagine it's something like this.

Let me know.

Unrelated Alpine uses a dc converter I was thinking of building a ported ventilated acrylic plexi glass box around it and mount it underneath the the glove box but far back where it's not visible nor anyone can kick it

Just curious....what happened to the stock sound system. Are you upgrading? If after-market products aren't available now, why start the upgrade?

Vince.

well aside from the radio dash kit Scoshe makes the wiring harness for aftermarket radio's & make use of the steering wheel controls.

not to mention Alpine radio does alot more then this bose radio.
DVD,NAV,MP3, your choice of xm or sirius sat radio.
Multi screen out. back up camera, touch screen with pulse technology.

so yeah it's worth upgrading. not to mention I will also be adding two amps, two subs, two capacitors and two monitors.

Kewl, good luck to ya! Sounds like you possess the skills to do all of that. I envy you.

BTW, You gonna have any room left over to carry other stuff, oh, like groceries or suitcases? :)

So, when it all done, will you have a CUV with a fabulous sound system or a fabulous sound system with wheels attached to it? (cheers2)
