Hollowing out the 2nd Cat on an MS3

Ok, yeah so I'm cheap. I'd prefer thrifty. Anyway, has anyone done this? If so, what are the repercussions, outside of the obvious emissions issues? What are gains vs a test pipe? Are they comparable? Or, is this just sheer stupidity??(stash) Just checkin'.

Everyone will have their own opinion. Ive done it on cars for years. Will work just fine. If you want a piece that you can unbolt and bolt back on then buy an aftermarket one. If not then just gut it or cut it out and replace it with a piece of 2.5inch pipe. Simple as that.

I'm trying to avoid CELs--but I think that's upstream of the 2nd cat...

this would work because the dealer wouldn't know the difference unless they droped the exhaust and looked in it

you will be just fine i have removed all of my cats with the nonfouler fix and no cel/mil
