HKPRO5's Turbo Build Thread.

Just get the Cx Racing FMIC kit, thats what I'm using for my piping.
Also with the check valve your going to have to get a universal one because they don't sell that one anymore

i've tried it... really hard to tune... no matter how much i tried to add fuel it will still go lean

hehe... you good with installing electronics? i've got a microtech lt8s just waiting to be installed on my car... problem is i don't want to do it... but if it gets done i won't be needing my ssafc or msp ecu

Hmm Ill help you....lol

When do you want to do it?

We can also do your bushings!

i'm leaving this friday for a week to go to oregon... will see what my schedule is like when i get back...

with boost, can you just use MSP ecu even if its not MSP stock turbo? etc? like if i get MSP turbo, ebay fmic and thunder manifold for instance, would MSP ecu still work as a cheap alternative till i get enough money for piggyback or something else? sorry to thread jack

Yes the ecu would work, but probably not very good

They don't? I just put the part number in at onlinemazdaparts and it came up
Yeah it'll still come up ,but when you go to pay it tells you the item is no longer available

Another two weeks I will be boosted god I hate waiting for stuff to arrive.Love these build thread's.

i cant believe im saying this, but your best EMS option might be MPI. (definitely never said that before)... it takes a bunch of goofy stuff that no one wants to set up, but the guy i got my t3 setup from is selling his mani with the necessary extra injectors ready to roll, the MPI, and the turbo module.
link for that here. i think he would take 500-550 + shipping for whats left, which ends up being cheaper than a BFN SSFTC.

but, as troys other native son has correctly pointed out...
You may already know, but you'll need a FM O2 clamp, Joe P. FCD, turbo module, an NA '01+ Protege ECU, additional injector(s), and a way to mount them (either drill in intake manifold, or Intercooler injector pipe. People who owned seem to like it, but the support is becoming scarce.
well you have most of that if you get the setup, its competitive pricewise, and is easily one of the best tuning solutions for proteges... and i have MPNick's email if you want it. support may be scarce, but i dunno, seems like a strong option...
