HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

Not sure what else to say it was in the hiboost install instructions and several mentions acrossed the forum before there was a msp. A few posts back I said where it goes it keeps boost from damaging the sensor thats all. I cant find any of the old threads so...

^^ love how slide wants multiple and yea wanna see that dyno chart when you get the pulley on if theres enought room down there might askk pops to make a bigger one??(sssh)(boom07) maybe a new sc pulley as well? (thumb) but first things first waiting on the kit in the mail then gotta figure out the install (ugh)(sad2)(yupnope)

Well if you google they will show you calculations for the maximum RPM this supercharger can handle. It will also show you what kind of boost levels to expect. Honestly I wooing tho bigger than that pulley. Unless you plan on building the block.

roger that.... idea dropped maybe later on in life (thumb) could you possibly PM me some tips on the install when you got time i want this to go as smooth as possible but im gunna expect the worst just in case

Well you can first start now by taking out all the A/C components. and just leave the A/C compressor for the install day. Thats kinda what took a while for me.

Pretty much do everything you can before the install day. Because its not like a turbo system you can install all the "accessories" that are needed with the install.

If you dont have a Wideband o2 sensor. Get one. you will need it. You will need a custom lower radiator hose. I have two hoses put together with a joining piece in between.

If slim fans dont come with them. Get them. Install them beforehand also. (only takes like 20 min anyways.)

Make sure you get your headers and wrap them. Insure that they are tightly wrapped. You may want to get some Thermal reflective tape also Just in case. (just a roll)

Make sure you have enough vac lines. I think you will just be running a bov so maybe you can tap into one of the lines on the intake manifold. (I have a vac block)

Also you may want to make a bracket to support the intake pipe. Not to sure how that is put on properly. (I just have a zip tie holding mine up.) (plan to get a bracket welded when I get aluminum piping.

Ill post more if i have anything else.

Changed over to MS6 rims. Making a vent pod for the wide band.

Got this in yesterday....=) no I just have to find a belt that fits....

How are you engaging/disengaging the SC?
Switch?

What is the performance drag (if any) without the SC on?

Great post by the way. Thanks for sharing!

So how the "switch" works for the supercharger is kinda like te AC compressor. There is a clutch that spins freely with the pulleys. Hit the switch and the clutch grabs the pulley on the supercharger. That is on.

When I turn the supercharger off it's just like driving a regular P5. Slow..

I did not send the belt because mine was too long anyways, Grant has the belt for his kit, have you installed this yet???

I'm still trying to get this done in the next two weeks. I'm going to out on the pulley then leave the belt for the SC off. Go down to checkers and test fit belts. lol
