I hit a curb the other day, and bent the s*** out of my control arm. I had a new one put in but now when i go about 30 mph I start to hear like a "woo" sound and it continues after 30 mph. Anubody had this problem? What could it be?

Damn dude, I bet those AMG wheels are ******* EXPENSIVE!! How much did that curb set ya back?
Lol. I bet that brake conversion was expensive too :D

i did the same thing in my Dad's M5. royally messed up the axle and control arm. It was never the same again. He had it taken back to the shop 3 times and took it to BMW 2 times. No matter how many times they fixed it, or completley changed all the parts, it was still there. Stuck for life.

yeah i did the control arm and the alignment, switched wheels to see if it was a wheel barring but the noise continues. It might be the axle but all i have is noise so i m not gona spend the money to fix it right now as I m in debt. Hope nothing goes wrong for the time being, though.

I dont mean to be rude but switching the wheels is not going to solve a bearing problem or change anything for that matter. The bearing itself is inside of the steering knuckle which is what your control arm attaches to. I would highly doubt that anything is wrong with your axle because if you hit something hard enough to mess up an axle you would probably have quite a few other problems along with it. As long as your alignment went ok i would doubt that anything is rubbing underneath and everything should be lined up accordingly. Which leaves the bearing as most likely being the culprit. As long as you are not hearing a grinding noise coming from it you should be ok to drive on it. I believe the bearing itself runs around 40-50 bux so its not the most expensive thing but not the cheapest either. Just make sure if it starts to grind that you get it replaced asap because a fried wheel bearing can cause quite a few problems that get expensive quick. Like i said im not trying to be rude just trying to help.

No offense taken, thanx for your input.

Can anybody explain this further, i dont understand.

I changed the bearing, the noise went away. I did my alignment but my steering wheels shakes at bout 60 mph. And it seems like the steering wheel isn't aligh properly either, it isn't comepletely straight when i m going straight. Anybody else ever have this problem, and solved it?

Shakes continuously or when your on the brakes? More than likely the rotors.

If your on the brakes, then your rotors are warped. If it's just driving then they may have not balanced a wheel or 2 right.

The steering wheel is because of the alignment. If everythings straight then then wheel should be too. With my last car I had the rack and pinion replaced and got it back and the steering wheel was crooked when I drove straight. Got an alignment and all was good.
