Hiiiiiii!!

Hi! I'm Kacy-- 20yr old from N. KY, near Cincinnati. I just bought a '04 Mazda 3, 7 weeks ago-- my very first new car. How exciting. I love it-- I originally didn't want a hatchback, but my mom pursueded me into it- because i'm a professional photographer. I have alot of equipment and props, which fit easily in the hatchback so now I am loving it. I was worried that the hatchback would make me feel old-- but it doesn't!

I stumbled across this forum today in a funny situation actually.. My fiance, who is an auto mechanic, was about to have a heart attack when he was trying to change my oil for the 1st time- because after he had the oil and oil filter out- we found out that you had to have a special tool, or something to put the new oil filter back on.. We were looking online for some solutions.. Eventually, he got it back on.. but we had a mini breakdown for a minute because I thought my car would out of oil until we could get ahold of the dealer. Kind of silly-- I think the dealer should have told us this, before we had to find the little tiny paragraph in the owners manual. oh well!!

I'm interested to see what you all have done to your car-- I'd like to do some things to mine, but i'm not sure what yet..

But i'll shut up now (blah)-- glad to be here!!

Damn, I hope my wife is as excited as you when I give her the 3 I bought her for Christmas. I know I am having a heck of a time keeping it a secret from her. Thanks for the heads up on the oil filter. I'll have to grill the salesman when I go to pickk it up on Thurs.
