Its a wiring harness so you dont melt the stock wires your car, looks like you have to buy bulbs for it.

but it claims to boost the power output as well.
it hooks up to the battery through a couple of relays, kind of like real HID, but they are not ballasts. anyways, do you think it really does boost the power, or not.
thanks

that is just a normal h4 upgrade harness that you can get at like pep boyz or advance, autozone and what not. . .it's just thicker gauge wire so you can run higher wattage bulbs without risk of melting the wires (cause you got thicker wire now) but you still risk melting your reflectors. . .as i have witnessed many people do with higher wattage bulbs

Doesn't Catz make a system that incresses light output wit your stock bulbs or upgraded bulbs? I'm pretty sure they do, not sure on cost thought.

ive not seen the catz system but i saw another one that was on a display stand and it increased the power output of the stock bulbs and was quite impressive. For about $150 i could get hid so i didnt even give a second look at the booster

you can get heavy duty h4 sockets from pepboys less than $3.
so not worth spending over $40

getting BLUE overwatt bulbs is a DOWNGRADE to lighting performance.... no one other than ricers care about the blue look or care that you have HIDs because they don't care about cars in the first place.... all you will cause is annoyance to them because of the increased glare caused by those bulbs... futher more, blue bulbs have a FILTER coated on the bulb, and any type of filter RESTRICTS the amount of light coming from the bulb... so with a stock wattage setup, you will end up with less light but your eyes will fool your brain into perceving otherwise because our eyes react against blue light in a weird way.... the pupil constrains and makes your brain think the light is really bright when reality it is not... and when you overwatt the bulbs, this illusion is just enhanced as the lighting will just return to about equivilant to stock/normal bulbs' candella.... because of this scientific fact, any advertisements of "85 watt performance with only 55 ways" is full of bulls***, the marketing department will lose to physics even though they don't want you to know about it

get TRUE and proper upgrades by getting NON coated bulbs from reputable bulb companys and if you want, upgrade your harness but DO NOT overwatt because the increased heat from overwatt bulbs WILL melt the plastic light housings!

I certanly hope your not talking about the people who purchase quailty HID conversion kits and have them properly aimed. I went with the purple (no purple coating on bulb) HID's because I didn't want to have any blue lights on my car but wanted the increased light output that only HID can provide.

As for people not caring about HID's and if they do they are "a ricer who doesn't care about cars". What luxery and near luxery cars don't come stock or as an option now a days? They orgianal had blue tint to them but have sence, switched to purple to be in compliance with the law.

I guess if you buy some $120 hid kit on ebay that has coated bulbs that may, or may not, explode in your headlamp assembly, thne yes, you are a ricer.

actual HID light should illuminating the road should NOT be blue or purple... the reason why many people see blue or purple color from FACTORY HIDs is...
